Always love these videos! Especially the longer ones. 😉 I feel you! Shipping can be hard to carve time out for with so many other tasks to do. I’ve been experimenting with breaking up what days I ship out weekend sales to make it more manageable without delaying too many days. Monday: Ship out Friday & Saturday sales Wednesday: Ship out Sunday-Tuesday sales (helps that most platforms don’t count Sunday against your shipping day count) Friday: Ship out Wednesday & Thursday sales Thanks so much for sharing!👏🌸

I LOVE watching your videos! But then I also get so frustrated with my thrifting options where I live since their prices have gone up so much and it's so hard to keep the COG's down. I hear her talking about spending like $1-$3 on each of these beautiful items and it makes me so jealous!! Anyway, keep up the great vids!
@Mcthriftzie3 жыл бұрын
We didn’t have any outlet locations for my first couple years of reselling in Houston. I had a different business model with higher COGs but also higher ASP. That was actually less work because I was selling fewer items BUT I enjoy more volume - it gives more content for my YT channel and more is happening lol. It’s all about what works best for you ❤️

Thanks for the great video!! I used your code for the VA and signed up for the free trial last night. I'm not doing very well with sales in my closet but I'm not sure why. We don't have many or no high end items at our local GW. Also, it is quite pricey. We also don't have bins. I would have to drive 45 min. to the nearest city with bins and have been thinking of doing this. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

I use DYMO 4XL! & I do pick up stuff based on style/size/print etc. but if it’s a lesser known brand the item usually has to have a combination of several good factors for me to get it :)

Hi! I have been following you from day one on here, and with each video I always have the same question: I notice you have your labels pre-printed for the video, but how do you know if you need to purchase a higher weight label for the bundles or not? Do you pre-weigh the bundles before the video?
@Mcthriftzie3 жыл бұрын
I usually just print all the labels to package everything and then off-camera I will weigh anything that feels like it might be overweight and upgrade/re-print if necessary

Can you sell cashmere with a hole? Or do you fix it and disclose that there was a hole?
@hiscanvasofgrace33913 жыл бұрын
I've sold several Cashmere pieces with a hole, with some discount but still made a profit. Cashmere is definitely harder to repair and make look new than a chunkier knit
@Mcthriftzie3 жыл бұрын
I don’t typically source cashmere that has a flaw if I catch it in store, I turn it inside out and hold it up to the light to really check for holes. I catch most that way but if one gets by I usually end up keeping or re-donating

Did you use the Ecote brand for that cardigan sweater or do you just put Urban Outfitters for that brand usually?

Do you do anything to encourage bundles? Or do you think it's just cause your closet has a certain "theme?" I probably only make 3-4 bundles a month compared to individual sales
@Mcthriftzie3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I would definitely say mostly just it being so curated. I also have an automatic bundle discount for 3+ items which encourages bundles also!

At the beginning of your video you apologize for the late shipping. But yet during the video you indicate I quote : When you're bored you go on Thredup. Why not ship when you're bored. You can loose a lot of customers that way shipping late plus Poshmark do not like that to sent reminder. I am just saying. Shipping on time is very important running a Business ! It is only 20 MIN. Drive to your Office Moms house but yet think this way if you would work a regular job daily you would " have to drive daily also to your job" ;) Just saying!
@Mcthriftzie3 жыл бұрын
Haha I adopted a new business model recently where I have upped my volume by a lot which has caused a delay in shipping. I don’t have time for boredom or sourcing from thredup these days, have been working 12+ hour days recently. I am aware of how important shipping is, which is why I mentioned it several times throughout the video. It can be difficult to juggle all the different facets that make up reselling & KZbin but I am doing my best.
