Great walk. Cows are a big fear of mine , can't seem to bring myself to walk through a field with them in.
@WalksWithOlly3 жыл бұрын
I can understand that fear. It's taken me some time to become this confident. Walking with others through similar situations has helped. I've learnt over time that there's usually little to fear. I hope you can find a way to face them in time. Have a good weekend and thanks for watching.

Good morning Olly, the conditions under foot sum up May nicely lol! Very lovley looking route, especially enjoyed the woodland sections, agreed it's sad that it bypasses the high point. Let's hope June will be a month we need our waterproofs less hey! 🤞💧🌊😬 Bluebells still looking lovely, guess that is a silver lining to all the rain ❤🤗 we love the valley near black rock too, kinda pops up outa nowhere! Great place for a bit of lunch to Olly and I wont lie we watch out for you when we are out and about in your neck of the woods, hope she's watching! 🤗❤ Loved this Olly, cracking looking route, great footage and expertly commented, hail too! You are weather jinxed currently, I'll get Kat working on her sun dance! 💃🌞have a great week, Ceri and Kat ❤☕👍

Hi Ceri and Kat, Well, June has got off to a very good start, hasn't it? May's ending almost made up for its former weeks. ;-) I've been out to the Brecon Beacons today... Will hopefully have that video ready for next week. Glad you enjoy these Mendip videos and hope you get to explore the area. Enjoy the weather that this week brings as it looks to be very good. :-) All the best and thanks for watching.

You don't half walk a long way! Great stuff though 🙂 I saw Totty pot on the map and always wondered what it was..now I know. Yes there are some pretty steep climbs on the mendips...I was walking up wavering down the other day,I'm so out of practice I had to stop every 5 mins to get my breath back! Must be nice to be recognized , enjoyed watching 👍

Thank you, Shirley. I'd not seen any photos of it so it was nice to see it up close. Glad to hear you're still walking and hope you keep it up. Thanks for watching and have a good week.

That's an impressive walk, Olly. Fifteen miles of climbing and descending rainy terrain would be challenge for me these days. But the scenery of the Mendip Hills is very beautiful. I got out this past weekend for a local six mile walk along a reservoir. It was just so pleasant to be out in the fresh air and sunshine again.

Glad to hear that you've been out yourself. Sounds very pleasant indeed. Mine was quite a challenging walk but I did also enjoy. May has been a bit of a challenge with the weather... But it seems like June is offering a huge improvement! Hope you have a good week and all the best.

Thanks for taking us along Olly, I remember bits of that walk when I stayed at the very basic Mendip Camp - with as you mentioned some of the usual YT culprits! Look forward to the next stages as haven't seen Wookey Hole or Ebbor Gorge area for many years. Cheers.

Hi Elliot, Glad to hear you're familiar with some of this walk. I'll get around to the final part of some point... Doing the 30 mile Mendip Challenge on Sunday and I tend to avoid the area soon after. ;-) All the best and thanks for watching.

That section of the Mendip Way looks stunning. A good blend of hills, views and woodland walking which is definitely my cup of tea. Getting spotted by viewers of your videos means you are a famous KZbinr now Olly 😆. It hasn’t happened to me yet but if it did, I think I’d be equally as tongue tied!

Carry on wild camping and your viewership will surely increase, meaning the likelihood of being recognised also grows. ;-) This is probably my favourite section of the Mendip Way, thinking about it. Not sure when I'll film the last section as I'm doing the full 30 miles on Sunday... But we'll see. Hope you have a good week, Anthony and all the best.

Enjoyable walk Olly. I just allowed it to roll mate. I agree I don't get them computer games either. They're utter trash. Much prefer a good trail. All the best. Mark

Thank you, Mark. My other issue with that stain on the landscape is that it could encourage others... On the side of a building in a city or town, I think that's acceptable. But on a hill outside of local villages; I do not see the point. Aside from that, this was a great walk. Thank you for watching it all the way. Hope you're having a good week and all the best. Will also catch up with your new video soon.

@@WalksWithOlly A pleasure Olly. Yeah I get your point - Tech does not belong on a lovely hillside. It looked and felt like a good walk. I watched it all and mellowed out to it. Yes, my new video. I attempt to share some feelings. Peace bro.

Olly, a lovely walk, Well worth the detours to get the fitness up for the Challenge and to get the additional views👍😊 It is super cool when someone recognises you from KZbin when out walking😊

Thank you, Gerry. A really good day out and it didn't rain half as much as was forecast. I'm walking the full West Mendip Way tomorrow (30 miles) as part of an annual charity event. Hope you have a good weekend. Thanks again and all the best.

An interesting walk and great commentary. Was that a police van blocking the road at one point?
@WalksWithOlly3 жыл бұрын
Hi Will and thank you. Not a Police van but telecoms or similar. I think they were installing or surveying for new broadband. Thanks for watching and have a good week.

Random question but what is your favorite wether to walk in
@WalksWithOlly3 жыл бұрын
An interesting question! I would say sunny with a slight breeze. Not too hot. Probably in spring of autumn. Thanks for watching and all the best.
