Shipley Station is located on the line between Leeds, Bradford Forster Square, Ilkley, Skipton, Carlisle and Lancaster,
The Station is managed by Northern rail with services also being operated by Northern calling here,
Regular electric metro services head either towards Bradford Forester Square, Ilkley, Skipton and Leeds; these services being operated using Class 331 and Class 333 Electric Multiple Units; up to mid 2020 Class 322 Electric Multiple Units were also used on these services,
Longer distance Northern services towards Lancaster, Carlisle and Leeds also call here these being operated with Class 150 and Class 158 Diesel Multiple Units, these services in the past also being operated with Class 142, 143 and Class 153 Diesel Multiple Units.
