Loki Lost/Forgotten Marvel MCU Ships

I’ve honestly never romantically shipped Loki with anyone. I don’t really now why, there just isn’t anyone I think he’d be that compatible with. Out of the 5 here I think I’m most interested in is BlackFrost but more as a character study. The closest I’ve come to shipping him with someone would be Valkyrie because I really liked all their interactions. (I actually ship Valkyrie and Sif HEAPS but there’s hardly any content for it). This video was really interesting though and I’d definitely watch a part 2!

Valkyrie and Sif would be an AWESOME ship! And I'm much in the same boat. I find Loki really interesting, and it's been nice to slowly see him get a bit of redemption in more recent movies (even if I think it was a bit inconsistently written), but there's no romantic ship for him that ever really caught me. I do get the appeal of all the ships discussed here, as well as some others. But in canon, most of the focus is on his sibling relationship with Thor, and personally that's the one I find most interesting. (I personally would never ship them, though - not here for those incest ships!)

I was the BIGGEST TaserTrick shipper! My god, I completely forgot darcy existed honestly, lol. These two were def the fandom bicycles and having them be this lovable jetsetter hurt/comfort couple was great. Not to mention I think there was a LOT of using Darcy as a self-insert character, or at least people being able to project onto her or see similarities that then they would work into shipping with their favs. But I guess tasertrick seemed like the Harry and Meghan of the early stages mcu.

I still ship Loki with Jane Foster, I think that they could make a great couple because they would both get each other on an intellectual level. Though while Loki with Jane is my main ship, I do like FrostIron too. I do also crack ship Loki with Steve too, my main ship for Steve is either with him either Peggy or Bucky, but there is something nice about Steve and Loki. There is now a part of me that also ships Loki with Valkyrie too. I can just ship MCU Loki with a lot of people.

Yes! Definitely want a part 2. FrostIron is my favorite Loki ship, but I’ve found that I enjoy almost any well written story, no matter who he’s paired with. Even some ships that don’t seem to have any logic, surprisingly, work well in a talented writer’s hands.

I loved this! Do continue with part 2! I also understand all these ships because I mostly ship Loki with anyone but my most shipped rare pairs are Loki/Dr Strange because of their magic and can bond together and compete with each other yet admire each other's talents; Loki/Bucky because i love most fics where Loki lands on earth during WW2 and meets Bucky and become friends, but aside from the fics I think they both have a lot in common from being mind controlled/forced and can help each other heal without Thor and Steve always on their back; Loki/Steve because Steve is always a beacon of kindness and justice and I wish for him to also extend it to Loki so he may be happy and accepting of himself through Steve and move on from his past. Its kinda sad that these paring have either got lost or wasn't continuing anymore.

Love my TaserTricks. One of my favorite Darcy ships, although I like Wintershock too. Actually, I think Darcy and Tony have a lot in common personality wise, (oh the snark), which is what makes both good matches with Loki. Snark extravaganza. ^^

One pairing that I've always been curious to see more of is Loki and Bruce Banner ("Hulki," I guess). There's obviously a tense history between them, but they could bond over discussing things like science and magic and then grow to admire each other's intellect since they both value that over physical strength. Plus, they're both sort of social outcasts who struggle with their emotions and dual natures, so they could offer each other a lot of interesting insight on how to deal with those things. Maybe his connection with Bruce would eventually help Loki to embrace his Frost Giant self and take on that form in battle to make good use of his ice powers.

FrostShield is my jam!!!! I'm so glad you mentioned it. I didn't get it at first, but the similarities between Thor and Steve, but with the later lacking Thor's original arrogance. Thus appealing to my first Marvel ship, Thor/Loki (funny story about that lol)! A part of me wants to just make a book of Loki ships. It shall be called "The Book of Loki"

I used to like TaserTricks, but I saw it more from a funny, sitcom-ish angle. I imagined Darcy just being drawn to Loki's badboy nature because she was so shallow and immature and Loki more or less humoring her because he was willing to take any admiration he could get. There wasn't any malice or manipulation between them, but there wasn't much passion either, and that made it funny when they would try to have conversations in between their antics but clearly weren't interested in connecting emotionally.

Always liked a bit of Lokane. Still reading a monster of a fic that has yet to be finished. It had a few great appeals for me. They're both inherent researchers, the whole magic/science bit and the 'wrong brother' thing as well. I always got the feeling that she'd temper his bad habits, and he'd incite her passion for the universe, and it'd piss off Thor, to boot. And of course, there's always the Loki redemption side of it, just to hold the story together. But saying that, I never really liked Jane much as a character, just as a possible vessel for a Loki pairing/redemption arc.
