That instance when the poles are out of alignment you can simply just put two two by fours one on each Pole and mount your fence to that

Home grown chickens soon to be harvested. Living in the woods like that gives you access to prime lumber that's expensive in town. What a bonus to get the quiet solitude.

I recommend that you enclose the entire coop (including the roof) with chicken netting. It protects the hens from visits by wild birds that can spread diseases. The net also protects from possible predators that are good at getting past obstacles.

That’s the way to dig a post hole! When y’all get yourselves a tractor or skid steer they make auger attachments for each of those.

Personally I’d get BOTH, a tractor and a skid steer. You can get the same attachments for the front end, loaders, forks, snow plows/blowers. But for the tractor it’s the rear attachments, hair, discs, bush hog mowing deck, etc. so one might say just go with the tractor, it for smaller dirt moving / grading, and material loading/unloading and transfer/moving the skid steer is King.

The chicken run will work out great, but I'd finish netting it. Hawks and owls will land and come in under the lean to. Love ya'll ❤️

Personally would cut post at 10 ft so have head room and totally screen in from preditors also suggest that use hardware cloth on the ground between post half in half out to prevent digging under

Make sure you put wire or netting over the top because I put chickens inside my 12 foot tall barn and did not build the pen to prevent anything flying in to get to the chickens. Needless to say a hawk got 5 chickens before I figured it out. I thought it was a possum or raccoon and ran an electric fence around the bottom to stop them. I had to put wire over the top to stop the hawk. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

Very nice setup for the chickens......question......how did you attach the ridge board (is that it's name?) to the shipping container for the lean2s roof? That's what I would like to do also but not sure how to go about it. I am looking forward to seeing what else you will be doing.

You started a homestead got in over your heads, begged and hocked any type of merchandise for money, then had to have someone come in and rescue you from all your mistakes, you show yourself’s on vacations and resting a whole lot more than the average families who have jobs so no wonder your failing at projects, you were told the house was to close to the hill side but you didn’t listen, seems like this is all for money and not having to have a regular job. Why don’t you explain how it came to be that the Raineys came and had to bail you out, I’m sure a lot of people would find that interesting.
