you have good taste the stabber is my favorite t1 cruiser too I like using it in a gang with a MWD and tech 2 warp disruptor as fast tackle while I mow down my catches with medium machine guns and rapid light missiles while a squadron of drones helps add even more dps

Just stumbled across this series and I'm having all kinds of fun catching up.😎 I do have to ask, was there a reason you didn't do any kind of research on your BPOs? Just 1% or 2% ME would save you a ton of minerals over the course of the run! 🤔

Honestly, it was mostly because I have no idea what I'm doing on the industry side of this game! I'm very much a PVP player on my main and the last time I researched a blueprint before this project, you still needed to deal with loooong NPC queues unless you had your own POS, so I'd basically just written it off because I didn't want to slow things down by locking up my BPO in the queue for weeks at a time. If you keep watching you'll eventually see that I do eventually realize that the system has changed, at which point I do start researching my blueprints. This whole endeavour has been a huge learning process to me and I do try to be careful when I'm getting all teacher-mode about the parts of the game I know well to also make it clear that there are big gaps in my knowledge. Welcome aboard!

Do you build ammo as well? I found out that building an ammo takes too much time. That's why I think laser ships are suprior in this kind of challenge, you can loot enough lenses from NPC.

I do build the ammo from BPOs and it is a bit of a hassle (and a drain on my precious tritanium). Lasers would definitely be an advantage in this regard, but they have other disadvantages. More importantly, I need to train Minmatar and Gallente anyway for the Cynabal, but not Amarr.

Just a quick question. How much of this challenge is doable as an alpha Clone?

You can't do the reactions and ice mining, but you can definitely work your way quite close

The reactions and Ice Mining, as @DrBreakalot said, but also the Planetary Interaction. That said, you could easily get yourself in a position of having accomplished everything but those three things, and being ready to do all three omega-locked tasks in a single Omega blitz. You could then get by with buying a single month of Omega, or even a single week, which is something they occasionally offer.

i thought it was an interesting idea to slowly follow the map as you flew through space, but it felt choppy. if you could do it smoother i would be open to seeing it again, but as is its off putting.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still slowly figuring out what works to show travel in a way that isn't painful to watch. I have an idea for next time that might be smoother.

@@tabarnoucheinterplanetary you could use the dotlan map and overlay the icon of your ship or character as an indicator of where you are. Kind like those 2d open world games like battle brothers or traditional board games. That would require more editing though, so it might be beyond the scope of what you're willing to do.
