Hello All!! Follow along as I check out the all-new 'Ships at Sea' from Misc Games, the makers of Fishing: Barents Sea and Fishing: North Atlantic!!
But first a word from the Devs:
"Ships At Sea, the next generation of ship simulation, introduces service and cargo vessels for the first time, the most desired feature requested by our passionate fan base. Head out into the untamable Norwegian Sea with your friends and connect with players worldwide as you build your service, cargo and commercial fishing careers.
In addition to the highly detailed fishing, service and cargo ships with new gameplay features, we are proud to introduce a new water shader WaveWorks, in cooperation with NVIDIA. This technology provides a cinematic-quality ocean simulation. Moreover, we´ve overhauled the buoyancy system entirely and replaced it with a physically-based one, ensuring vessels of all sizes float realistically. Furthermore, a dynamic weather system enhances the immersion by simulating weather conditions such as rain, fog, lightning and storms.
Above all, Ships At Sea takes a significant step forward by allowing players to explore authentically recreated harbours in Lofoten, Norway. Visit shops to purchase tools or equipment, or head to the shipyard to upgrade, maintain and repair your vessels.
Like our previous games, Ships At Sea offers an atmospheric and realistic environment based on accurate maps, licensed ships, and equipment. With stunning graphics, Ships At Sea delivers striking, immersive visuals to provide the most profound ship simulation experience. Embark on this adventure and become a master of the seas!"

If you have a look in the help menu in the fishing section it tells you what months each fish type is in season, you have to fish for specific types depending on the in-game month I believe.

Have you tried to match your frame rate to the refresh rate on your monitor to see if that helps the flickering.

I live in Finland and the times are pretty good. For instance in the summer especially around the longest day of the year the sun will set around 2 am and be back up just after 4 am. So the days are very long. also how far north I think this is it could be that there is a few week period where the sun does not even set and so it would never get too dark.

You see shorter days in winter in Scotland and the opposite in summer. Its just because it is further north. If I have the place right it attracts loads of summer residents especially boaters. One of the advantages of the better engines is you can nearly as fast at 70% throttle using much less fuel.

You definitely need the longer lines as for the hook I have no idea what I'm doing with that

The nets have a great animation so hopefully they'll do something with the longlines.

To be fair with the whole U.S. Dollar and Norwegian Krone thing, Americans are basically rich if they went over seas, not everywhere. However, definitely more so in some places than others, so that could very well be realistic, or at least a bit exaggerated. Though I suspect it's exaggerated, just pointing out that some places a single U.S. Dollar could be worth a lot more, Japan for example, 1 USD is roughly 157 JPY rounding up.

I can't say that is true for everywhere. Going to Europe, for example, fuel prices are about 3 times higher than what they are in the USA. That causes a lot of things to be more expensive in the EU compared to USA. EU is very expensive for Americans to visit now. But yea, if I were to visit Russia for example, I could live like royalty with what I have. But I'd never go there to live. But the difference between the US Dollar and Norwegian Kroner is just based on the market economy, wealth, debt and many other factors of both countries. But generally speaking, the values are just representative of a giving country's economic strength.

@@BradM73 See, I don't know the prices for stuff over seas, just know that places overseas Americans would be rich. However not everywhere, hence why I said not everywhere, and more so in some than others. Brother was in the Navy up until recently and would leave some money behind whenever he came home. As such we have an assortment of some foreign currency lying around the house.

13 knots is actually not that bad even the fastest fishing boats are like 37-40 knots and designed for speed

Water physics are kinda odd I mean the current is always in the same direction and it doesn't matter if you in open waters or in the dock current is always the same it's like for the entire map. no matter if you hiding in the dock or behind small island water always move in same direction. Water just ignores every land and building/ dock area etc.

I don't think there is any stutter in episode 6. If you can provide timestamps for when you see stuttering, I'll check it out. But for me the game seems to be playing normally.

I am skipping 40% of your Videos. Why? You are showing same item picking and dropping - same animations and eating our watching time a lot. at least you fast forward item picking and dropping. why not?
