To a generation Shirley Jones was known as Mrs. Partridge on the "The Partridge Family" but her start in show business came when she was 18 and cast by Rodgers & Hammerstein in the hit musical "Oklahoma." On the 50th anniversary of the show's debut in 1943 on Broadway, John Kosich sat down with Jones at the Claridge in Atlantic City and looked back on her break in the business and the role of musicals in entertainment today.
