Shirley MacLaine Accepts the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award

On June 7, 2012 in Hollywood, California, actress Shirley MacLaine accepted the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award in a gala ceremony. In this clip she thanks first the women surrounding her at her table, her brother, her mother and shares her life experiences.

"Tell me who you're loved from and I'll tell you who you are" is a very well known phrase ! I saw all the videos of the AFI and they all are cute people. That Steel Magnolia's circle is quite something strong ! And Meryl Streep is a classy, attentive and loving second daughter that Shirley really deserves … love 2 all of them !

Shirley was a talented actress and very driven to succeed. She missed out on one of the best things in life and that was being a mother to her child. I wonder what her mother would of thought of her parenting skills? Or if her mother had treated her in the same fashion. Ego is a powerful thing and both her and Warren had them. Glad she received her award and was in the limelight. Her believe system helps to keep her in the limelight, she has been deceived and deceives others in her religion.
