And this is why its so important to have good physics in sonic games, or else he literally loses the magic he had that separated him from just being a mario clone. This looks so fun and frantic. And intricate level design with unique set pieces too that play together with his physics.

Amazing! Slope jumps and loop de loop jumps done so precisely for optimal speed are always a wonder to behold. And thank you _very much_ for a "no major glitches" run. Don't get me wrong, I love glitchy runs too. But sometimes I just want to see inhumanly precise platforming and gameplay.

Yes yes yes yes YES!!!!! I am SO FUCKING HAPPY this finally exists! Ever since I played mania for the first time I wondered what a tas of the game would look like and I finally get to see it!!! One particular detail I liked was that even though there was a bug in titanic monarch act 2 to clip into the wall and go straight to the boss YOU DIDN'T DO THAT AND YOU ACTUALLY LET US SEE THE LEVEL IN IT'S ENTIRETY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT!!! My only real gripe with this run is that the super sonic music cuts out the rest of the music but that's not necessarily on you, that's just the cards you were dealt when trying to craft the ideal run. I'd love to see a sonic alone no emeralds run, but given how long this must have taken to make asking that might be a bit rich of me. In any case, thank you so much for making this.

Oh wow, that was a good TAS. It engages with all the game mechanics and provides exactly the satisfying, ultra-precise gameplay you'd look for. No skipping massive parts of the game through glitches, lots of variety without one single method dominating massively (saw a CD TAS where the peel-out was used in just about every stop, but here there's a good variety with the spin dash, drop dash and just, going), lots of interesting observable routing (it's cool how there's some thought that goes into activating Super Sonic and it's not just the moment you get 50 rings, as well as to see when it's worthwhile to go out of your way for rings), and just a couple small bugs exploited for good measure. I'm not sure if this is more a complement to the TAS maker or the game itself, but I really enjoyed the video at least!

The fact that this run is only about a minute slower than the world record RTA speedrun is saying something, considering this run is glitchless; skips such as SSZ 2 boss phase 1 skip, TMZ 2 skip, or FBZ 2 boss skip to name a few go unused.

Actually no. There is a glitch being used. If you run to a certain direction, and then quickly go the opposite way, and then going to to the opposite, you will gain speed and be faster than you should be. They probably patched it by now. I think that this is the RSDK V5 Decompile of Sonic Mania.

You gotta practice it alot It needs precise inputs and training Basically when Sonk bumps against these walls he gains more speed but it's sends it to the opposite direction Now to exploit that, hold the joystick/D-pad/Keyboard buttons in the direction you need him to go, while adjusting it in mid-air when he bumps, also don't forget to jump; that's kinda important With the right angle and precision you can nail it Unless you're me
