Despite its’ flaws, I loved the LoS trilogy. Gabriel is more fun to play as Dracula than as a human. I also occasionally spoke to Dave Cox the producer on LOS. He was a great guy, hope he’s doing good.

I'm not going to argue about the execution of said dope moments but they were no doubt high notes for the storyline

having replayed the two games in the last few months I admit LOS doesn't hold up to time well in terms of gameplay, specially the boss fights. LOS2 managed to fix those and made the fights more engaging and forcing the player to use what they learn as they go even if the story wasnt as engaging. But sequels rarely manage to have better stories than the original project in general, be it games, series or movies so it was to be expected Gabriel did feel better to control in general and the enemies were way more interesting overall, plataforming issues were fixed and made more smooth and thank the lord for less climbing in boss encounters. I would say LOS2 actually has more high notes going for it than LOS does. LOS has the nostalgia going for it sure, but LOS2 improved a lot of its high points and covered a lot of its issues as a sequel

You can't even fight roidraged Satan. They could've copypaste his attacks and movement from LoS1 but no, let's use Alucard, which we already have all his animations ready THEN sell Alucard DLC, which somehow has a boss with all-new animations. I know it's not that bad but the way they did was kinda fishy to me.

The fight scene with "Alucard": falling from a height, and the moment when Gabriel is about to plunge the Vampire Killer into his son repeats the scene from Mirror of Fate, but there Dracula fought with Trevor. The ending of this part was originally supposed to be very dark. Gabriel kills his son and he goes to heaven with a smile. And Gabriel, screaming with grief, is captured by the Brotherhood of Light. Because of the depressive ending it was abandoned and the script was urgently rewritten, so the final scene turned out the way it is.

Satan is like “I despise incompetence” but the acolyte literally was successful in summoning you. He accomplished his mission so uhh wtf? And he contradicts himself in the same sentence; he offers a truce deal with Dracula, then he immediately changes his mind & tells him he would rather destroy the world, then he says if he can’t rule it then no one will. What the hell are his goals then?

I think he didn’t want anyone summoning him while Dracula was still alive, as Dracula was the only being on Earth that could actually threaten and kill him. If I remember correctly, Alucard and Dracula schemed to have Lucifer believe that Dracula was dead in order to lure him to Earth and slay him. The fact that he was summoned by his servant with Dracula still alive and even in front of him upon his arrival makes the comment about incompetence justified. As for his motivations to destroy the world, I imagine that he knows that he can’t rule Earth since Dracula would oppose him. Thus, being a sore loser, he sees a destroyed world as preferable to a world he can’t rule over

So Satan came back all jacked up only for him to possess Alucard in the end, such a disapointment compared to the final fight of the first game. This game had so much potential, the gameplay was improved but the story fell flat and ended with so many plot holes, not to mention those f*****g stealth sections. A shame because the first 2 games were really good.

I feel cheated out of a boss battle. I assumed after you beat Satan in Alucard, you’d fight Satan directly. That would’ve made more sense to me, and you have Satan running for his life in the end which kinda cheapens the experience. I’ve not played the game, so what do I know 🤷🏾‍♂️

Gabriel Belmont fought the Lords of Shadow as a Knight in the Crusades. The lords of Shadow were corrupted Knights who became monsters. However, Gabriel found out that his mentor, Zobek, was himself a demon, and in fact The Grim Reaper, and so Gabriel became Count Dracula when he realized the mask he used was used to mind control him to kill his own wife, Maria, and he became evil because the demonic energies corrupted him. His son, Trevor Belmont, was killed by Gabriel as Count Dracula, and Gabriel realized that he killed his own son, so he gave Trevor his blood to bring him back as a vampire. In the end, Gabriel and Trevor decided to team up to destroy Satan and the Grim Reaper

Because Gabriel is not a usuall vampire. There is no weapon except Vampire Killer that could destroy him. Even it's stake made him fall into coma, so he doesn't care being killed or injured.

If it's LOS Dracula then I think it's Vergil and Dante. However the Dracula from OG timelines can probably win thanks to his feats which show him being capable of upholding the entire abyssal realm and castlevania realm at once and even defeating Time reaper who was about to destroy all of the infinite timelines without breaking a sweat. As Soma he even beats the primordial concept of Chaos itself and has Death's soul who's able to beat the concepts of sound and distance making his speed similar to Dante's and Vergil's (both of em have immeasurable speeds like Dracula)

@@lion4611 Technically yes, Alucard in the OG story DOES defeat Dracula albeit right after he's resurrected. So yea Alucard can beat Dracula if it's right after the resurrection but as you know he gains more power by absorbing evil so if even a little delay is made Dracula would obliterate everything. Alucard actually is much stronger than every Belmont except Julius, guy literally whips monsters who need a seal without even using em and claims that as if it's no big feat

@@lion4611 In the OG timeline Alucard doesn't really feel the bloodlust, but yea just like regular vampires he can drink blood and even restore health that way. Dracula on the other hand...doesnt really need blood. He simply consumes the souls and then turns the souls into his minions. But if it's the LOS version of em then yes they need to drink blood to survive. Alucard obtains blood from the monsters he slays while Dracula obtained blood from the brotherhood enemies that he killed. But now that all his enemies are killed idk what he'd do.

Satan is kinda bitch tier, NGL. He's got a pet world destroying beast and he can possess people but other than that he got 1 shot. Think about it, a single stake through the heart killed him. By comparison Gabriel and Dracula can take a ton of punishment. Still though good on Satan for getting in shape.
