"Think of what we could achieve!" "I would rather not." I believe that sentence is what best demonstrates Dante's character arc and path to redemption. Rather than deny he would consider this option, he makes the choice NOT TO instead, because he was an awful sinner who would easily be tempted by the allure of power. He knows he would probably fall for the offer, but because he's become aware of his flaws, in the process overcoming the sin of pride which Lucifer is best known for ironically, he has the force of will and presence of mind to turn away from the temptation.

I played this on the PSP ages ago because we couldn’t afford a console at the time. I think I labeled this game in my head as “God of War but Biblical”. They tried to make a sequel but it got cancelled. However, I think that it wouldn't have made the grade, but I do think a spin-off game would have been possible if they thought of one. This is what I mean, you play the part of someone who found himself/herself in a similar predicament, this pc would team up with other souls from different eras in a quest for vengeance against Old Scratch here.
