If you listen to the sound files you can hear the grunts and groans of gwyndolin, whether it’s actually him suffering or if there’s anything except his body remaining is up to you to decide. And he also does the voice of prince lothric (which makes sense because they are related)

Anybody doing this today be careful because after I killed Gwyndolin the anor londo bonfires will warp me to the bonfire that's out ( I killed the FK w/o knowing ). I can warp to princesses chamber but If I die in anor londo it will always warp me to the starting bonfire. I haven't tried dukes archives yet but I'll update when I do. Update: It wasn't bugged in dukes, I'm not sure why though.

Because Gwyndolin is an optional boss his death isn't canon. The events in Dark Souls III clearly state that since Aldrich devoured him, it's canon that he wasn't killed.

@@micahholcomb7699 Which isn't correct because everything is technically canon in Dark Souls. This fight can be canon. Just as you help Anri kill Aldrich in her timeline you gotta still kill him in your own. They could have easily fed an alternate Gwyndolin to Aldrich
