Life is a learning process. Chances are that without Rick's help you would eventually have noticed the right way to go about things. I've had horses on my place since I was 13. Now I'm 72 and I still am learning things from Rick. Other times, the stuff I just came to do naturally, Rick gives me the reason why.

Rick, what you said here about people living up to whatever expectations you have for them is one of the most profound social statements of our times. When the swamp dwellers declare skin color a sign of being either privileged or victimized, the community divides along those lines. Each group adopts the attitudes and beliefs of the category it’s been assigned to. A false narrative ensues, and the resulting chaos we are seeing today is absolutely predictable. It’s just common sense.

I just discovered your videos over the last few months. Not only have I learned about horses which would scare me to be next to one because they are sooooooo big and no I don't own a horse that wears a pink saddle pad, but what passion looks like. This great love you have for your horses and all the other animals around your place has inspired me to see what true passion means and all that you give of yourself all your knowledge and the joy that it brings you so that others can learn all they can for the benefit of their horse. I desire a passion like this in a different area of my life that has nothing to do with horses but what is important to me.

RICK, I looked through the comments & didn't see this question: " Why is Voodoo shaking their tail so much & no one else is?" I guess to make himself known, bigger or 🤔? i think the fact that vodoo aproached buckees from his sighted eye makes a big difference if had been from his blind side it could have led to biting again, i wonder if it would be possible to train vodoo to only approach from the left? it would take a lot of training but it might be worth it

Voodoo may already know that Bucee is blind in that eye. Horses are very observant. Because in the wild, if they're not, they're dinner.

so glad you explain what's going on, I saw Jake's video and wondered why they didn't spread out to all the piles, didn't know they couldn't see them, must be especially hard for Bucees since he's only got one good eye - question about the fence stake being used as a gate stop, is that a good idea or should the gate be allowed to swing open wider as the bigs come through? looks like it caused the gate to bounce back and bump into one of the donkeys
@heatherhofferkamp71292 жыл бұрын
I was able to see buckees respect and withdraw to voodoo approach to that pile. Just from watching your ofirst video. You are very informative. I already know how to watch ppl behavior. You are helping me apply that to the animals. There was a video of Lester's , unwelcome visitors, i think. Two little goats escape on an adventure to the Sanctuary. At first glance you would think Annie the alpaca was running them out. But she is the guardian of the babies. I think she was trying to round those babies up . What are you doing out on your own? Anyway I was able to look at why she ran into the herd. Who was in there. Not just an animal not accepting two odd ones. On the contrary. She was trying to accept them. I look forward to more videos bc of your education. Ty!
