Thanks for the in-depth review! It's really cool to see how it looks with and without makeup in natural light. Also how a sunscreen feels is super important to me, so your descriptions of that were super helpful :)

Today I tried it for the first time, it’s a bit too greasy for me. Mom suggested I try it without the moisturizer as you did and I might tru that out tomorrow and see how it sets and I like the the idea of spreading it with my fingers. I really loved the isntree stick, it’s SO airy!

Let me know if it works out for you! I plan on getting the isntree stick in my next haul 😊

The Japan version of this is sooo good! It has the updated SyncroShield technology and uses the more modern more stable UV filters.

I have your exact skin type and your videos have really helped me! I was wondering if you have tried the Zitsticka Megashade sunscreen serum? It's chemical-mineral mix & supposedly for acne prone skin...it's at ulta for $40. If you could do a review on it that would be awesome! Thanks for your content 🤎

Nice! I might try this for my sensitive eyes. What setting powder do you recommend? I was thinking of trying a powder sunscreen to help make the skin more matte, but if not then another powder might do the trick.
@benenon2 жыл бұрын
I use the laura mercier translucent powder (no spf) but I honestly think any powder will do! If you're looking for a setting powder with spf I have a review of the Peter Thomas Roth powder on my channel. It can look a little ashy though depending on your complexion. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYenc3x7pLurp9E

@@benenon I've tried some powders but it's a little tricky finding the right ones, even translucent ones that still look ashy like u mentioned. I'll give these a try too thanks so much!

For a sunscreen stick, the recommended amount is 3-4 layers...

Thanks for sharing! Sunscreen should be 2mg/cm^2 which for this product is about one turn of the dial for my face and neck. For me, I can use that up with 2 passes since I have a pretty heavy hand with products. Capricorneum.skin did a really great post about this on instagram if you want to check it out 😊

I tried it last summer. I’m oily acne prone. I wanted to like it but it clogged my pores causing me to breakout.

Thank you so much for the review ,I wish I could use a chemical sunscreen stick like this one u reviewed since it's sheer on the face but my eyes are too sensitive so if you ever come across a mineral sunscreen stick with little to no cast I'll be all over it because I love the convenience of a sun stick and so portable.
@mansa_p2 жыл бұрын
Stick sunscreens usually don't tend to cause eye stinging because they have been formulated to stick to the surface once they dry down. If you're worried about eye sting then you can use setting powder over the sunscreen.

@@mansa_p yeah the chemical sun stick didn't work for me but thanks for the powder tip.maybe when its hot I'll try that my only issue with setting powder is my skin is super dry so it essentuates all the wrinkles on my face
@benenon2 жыл бұрын
This one didn't move into my eyes at all but I totally understand. I have tried drugstore mineral sticks in the past and they all had a white cast. I'll keep looking around 😊

@@benenon thank you maybe I'll try this chemical stick and hope it works.

I have the same issue, and now I use a zinc-only stick around my eyes, nose bridge and temples (a horizontal line across my face). The rest of my face can take any sunscreen, as long as it doesn't migrate when I sweat. For that purpose I'm looking for a chemical stick now. The advantage of this method is that the white cast isn't that noticable around the eyes, it even kinda works like concealer. For me at least it covers up dark circles nicely. To not be completely white around the eyes, I bought a tinted stick. Sadly most of tinted ones contain iron dioxide, which I'm allergic to, but I found one that's tinted with cocoa powder. Two sticks are of course less convenient than one, but maybe this method would work for you to :)
