Love this review! And your skin is love! :) Shiseido has some of my fave HG products! I’ve just recently started using the Eudermine to compare against my favorite Origins Dr Weill’s Mega Mushroom Treatment lotion and it’s a hit for me so far. 😊 I’ve been using their Ultimune product for years and can vouche on how awesome this product is. You can almost skip putting on a moisturizer on lazy days, LOL! My fave line is also Benefiance but have recently bought their Vital Protection line to give it a try… but my ultra fave product from them (which is sooooo hard to come by) is not even skin care but their Future Solution LX loose powder. I don’t enjoy all their facial washes as they do dry me out for some reason but one of my fave cleansers of all time has to be their Benfiance Extra Creamy cleansing foam which I think they’ve unfortunately phased out… 😢

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been curious about those products. Do you think that the eye cream would work well with a concealer?

I have not tried because of it’s anti-aging properties. I always use a simple hydrating/brightening one (think vitamin c) when I need to apply makeup. Some anti-aging ingredients gently exfoliate the skin, which in turn will not make any makeup stick unto the skin.

I really want to love Shiseido but so many of their serums and lotions contain so much alcohol 😢

Just as a point of conversation, Most of my skin care has alcohol in them (even from other brands) and so far I have not had any adverse effects. All Alcohol is not the same - it’s the term used on how they are molecularly structured. So Ethyl Alcohol is different from Isoprophyl Alcohol which is also different from the Alcohol used in makeup and skin care. Some Fats are also considered alcohols because of this molecular structure. Based on my understanding, some Alcohols are needed to ensure that the active ingredients are able to penetrate deep into the skin. That why sometimes, I take makeup with “active skin care ingredients” with a grain of salt because I question its efficacy. On the other hand, I don’t drink any form of Alcohol - Wine, Beer, Cocktails, etc… because I know that drinking alters the body’s chemical composition and changes the over all appearance/health of the body - especially on the skin. And I think these are the main culprits of looking dry and feeling awful. Kudos to you though because this means you are a consumer who knows what you want and need.

@@tortorre You are so lucky you can tolerate alcohol in skincare! I have very sensitive skin and using products with such high amounts of alcohol would likely cause a sensitising reaction. Indeed, in skincare you have the drying alcohols (such as isopropyl alcohol, denatured alcohol and SD alcohol) which are used in formulations for their ability to degrease the skin, enhance penetration of ingredients into the skin and leave a more lightweight finish, and the fatty alcohols (such as cetyl, stearyl and cetearyl alcohol) which are good emollients for the skin. I would love to try Shiseido if not for their alcohol-laden formulations. Their Ginza global flagship store is amazing and I am obsessed that you can engrave the Ultimune bottles, but alas am unable to use it.

@@emercycrite I on the other hand have oily skin. Try to have a lipstick engraved if you so desire. It’s quite an experience. 😘
