THANK YOU! I BOUGHT ONE AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO BLEND ON A PALETTE LIKE YOU DID. BRILLIANT! LOOKED ALL GORGEOUS ON YOU!!! I HAVE LIGHT, FAIR, PALE SKIN, (do not have any sun!) AND ALL WHITE SILVERY HAIR. THOUGHT THE BLUE, GREEN, WHITE, AND SKIN TONE MIXTURE WOULD BE GOOD FOR ME SETTING UNDER MY EYES AND T-ZONE. SINCE I'M 65, I PREFER THE DEWY LOOK EVERYWHERE ELSE TO NOT EMPHASIZE MY FINE LINES AND COUPLE PESKY WRINKLES FIGHTING ME EVERY STEP OF MY DAYS, NOW! SO, WHAT DO I DO??? I SLATHER ON AN EVEN THICKER LAYER OF TRETINOIN, LOL! ONLY TO FIGHT THE MASSIVE DRYNESS THIS CAUSES. THEN IN THE MORNINGS AFTER GENTLY CLEANSING, I PUT ON ALL MY NECESSARY POTIONS FROM THE REAL VIT C TO LACTIC ACID OR A GLYCOLIC PAD, TO A BUFFET OF COPPER AND PEPTIDES, +++, TO SNAIL MUCIN WITH NIACINAMIDE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE MUCIN SO THAT WHEN I PUMP IT OUT, THEY BOTH GET FRESHLY MIXED TOGETHER IN PALM OF MY HAND WITH MY FINGER. I THINK THIS IS BRILLIANT OF COS RX! THEN A MULTITUDE OF DIFFERENT MOISTURIZERS FOR THE DAY, THEN HALF AN AMOUNT OF SUNSCREEN IF I DO NOT GO OUT OR SIT NEAR A WINDOW ALL DAY. MY POTIONS ALL CHANGE DEPENDING ON IF I'M WEARING MAKEUP AND WHERE I MAY BE HEADED THAT DAY. THO I AM LUCKY TO STAY HOME MANY DAYS AND I LOVE IT AND MY SKIN LOVES THESE DAY FACIALS. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT PUTTING A VERY EMOLLIENT THICK CREAM ON TOP OF THE TRETINOIN WEAKENS IT? I NEVER WEAR ANYTHING ON MY FACE AT NIGHT TO BED BUT THE 0.1% TRET. NOTHING ELSE EXCEPT A LIP MASK. BUT I ALSO HAVE ONE UNDEREYE TRYING TO DROOP ON ME! SO, FIGHTING THIS WITH CHANEL, DIOR, CLARINS, LA MER, SUMMER FRIDAYS JET LAG UNDER EYE CREAMS TO NO AVAIL!!!!! EYE CREAMS DO NOT WORK! I WAS JUST TOLD BY A DERMATOLOGIST THAT VASELINE WORKS ON THE UNDER EYES! AND NOTHING ELSE! WHAT DO YOU THINK? MY FACE IS COMPLETELY MOISTURIZED SOME NIGHTS WHEN I ONLY WEAR THICK LAYERS OF AQUAPHOR! iT'S BEEN A DELIGHT WATCHING THIS VIDEO AND I JUST TRULY ENJOYED WATCHING AND LISTENING TO YOU. I'M SUBSCRIBING, IF YOU'RE STILL MAKING VIDEOS! HOPE TO CHAT AGAIN, SOON, AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PRIME LIBRE ADVICE! YOU ANSWERED AND SHOWED EVERY QUESTION I HAD!

I ordered the S03 today! 🎉 Alicia's description of it had already piqued my interest..but I was still thinking about it... And then I watched your video too...and the part when you held them in the sunlight!!!...it was like *magic* 😊 I checked your link, but it didn't seem to be an affiliate, so I just added it to my existing order. I did however mention both of you to BoBo when we were discussing the order - I thought it was just a customer service contact, I can't believe she answers all the emails personally. She seems like such a sweet thing! 😊 I'm enjoying watching all of your videos, including the travel vlogs ❤

Personally, not that I want to pry, but I do appreciate being given a glimpse occasionally into your life behind the scenes. Wow, that’s a tough work schedule, glad it has calmed down a little. Those individual sharpeners sound like an excellent idea. For eyeshadow sticks, the nibs are protected by the lids, but it’s better to store them standing with the nibs at the top, rather than upside down, isn’t it? How wonderful that you were able to complete your Sonia G collection! Sorry to hear that you were unwell. I’m with you on not liking brand names on some of my things. That’s such a cute keychain. You are so well organised 😇🙂 Thanks for this vlog!

I agree that the Rephr 29 brush is great but mine started splaying out after few weeks of use so I looked for something similar/better. I found the Bisyodo Shiori series Point Brush which is similar size but no splaying so far and feels nicer on my sensitive eyelids. Performance is same as Rephr 29, cost about 12$. I’ve only had it for 1 month but if it continues performing well, I will get a backup or two.
@teufel75
@teufel75 15 күн бұрын
I had that same experience with the Rephr brushes. They don’t hold their shape as well as many of my other brushes. Now I very carefully reform the brush head with my fingers when I wash my brushes and lay them over the edge of a table, counter, or dresser so that the head hangs off while it dries. I have found though that I have to use the Masters brush soap that I use to clean to make almost a paste in order to create a cast for reshaping these brushes. I let it dry and harden, then break the cast. It acts like the gel that brush makers use to protect the brush head when packaging and transporting.
@tortorre
@tortorre 12 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear about the splaying, that's not good. I actually just received the pamphlet for the Shiro (Black in English) Series of Bisyodo. I just perused through it, but now that you are singing high praises about it. I should check it out! Thank you!

@@tortorre I buy it from art supply stores. Same thing I use for my watercolor brushes, especially my kolinsky ones. It’s both a cleaner and a preserver. Using it thicker as a paste and letting it dry both conditions and reshapes it. I do use separate containers for my makeup and my paint brushes since some paint pigments are toxic

@@tortorreyes, it is my favorite for eyeliner and I tried over 20 eyeliner brushes. It is quite small and very precise, mine is as thin as the Hakuhodo G5512 but the slant is very versatile and the tip is almost as firm but much smoother than G5512 (so great for sensitive lids). A KZbinr called Brush Junkie said it is her favorite of all the fude eyeliner brushes she tried. It is also quite affordable, I paid about 11$ at cdjapan. I am not a fan of Mizuho brushes in general but this brush is fantastic, I bought 3 backups which is rare for me😂.

I own Smooth Buffer and Buffer Pro and I am umming ahhing about whether to add Master Face to my collection.

Hey thanks for dropping by! I’m glad you are enjoying the Sculpt Four. The Master Face is an all over brush, you can use it for setting powders or finishing powders or blush - it really depends on you. 😉 You don’t have to get it, not unless you need it. You’ll eventually notice during your makeup routine if an additional brush is needed or not. But then again, brushes have a way of calling you. 😘😘😘

I have bought a few Rephr brushes myself, both eyeshadow brushes and one of their limited edition saibikoho blush brushes. Honestly, I hardly use them because they aren’t my favorites. The bristles are scratchy and not as soft as other brushes in my collection. The saibikoho hair was not as soft as other saibikoho or the Koyomo vintage aged goat hair brushes in my collection; however it was extremely inexpensive for a saibikoho brush. I could make a whole argument over how grading goat hair is a subjective process so using these labels is not an exact process but I don’t want to go off tangent. The handles honestly feel cheap. At regular price, they are overpriced so I recommend waiting for a sale. They also market a lot through influencers which puts me off and reminds me a lot of Morphe. What I will commend them on is designing eyeshadow brushes geared towards certain eyelid types because that is an issue. Companies like Chikuhodo offer fairly basic brush shapes (which is one of my biggest complaints about them) and other than Hakuhodo, Sonia G, and the relaunched Wayne Goss brushes, there isn’t a lot of diversity in eyeshadow brush shapes. I have hooded eyes and the need to find better eyeshadow brush shapes is precisely the reason I got into fude brushes.
@teufel75
@teufel75 21 күн бұрын
Want to add that the reason why they probably designed their brushes to apply pigment heavier and quicker is because they are more targeted for the North American market and that market is more interested in building strong pigment quickly. Same reason why they mainly send PR to North American influencers.
@tortorre
@tortorre 20 күн бұрын
I am loving your input! thank you! So far I have not noticed any "scratchiness" nor "prickling" with their bristles. But I do echo your sentiments where in they are not as soft as brushes from other brands. I do feel that they mix goat hair grades for their bristles. some might even be Sokoho and Hakutotusho. It's the same sensationn I feel when I use the Hakuhodo Yachiyo brushes, esp. the smaller sizes. I have not had much experience with the face brushes yet. But despite these "difference" I have come to appreciate some of the brushes that I got from them. And now that you mentioned it, I like the range of their eyeshadow brushes because they have small bristle types that fit into my eyelid space. There's also such a big jump between sizes with the Blending/crease brushes. Those Koyomo brushes are soooo amazing! I would love ot have more but, their just so expesive! hahah I also like how observant you are about the differnece in makeup culture between countries and regions but yes, being at Rephr is an American brand, they do cater to the American market and makeup sentiments.
@teufel75
@teufel75 20 күн бұрын
@@tortorre I agree with your assessment of the grades of hair that they likely use. Granted a lot of brands are no longer mentioning grades because grading is so subjective for the most part with the exception of what area of the body the goat hair is from. FYI Rephr is a Canadian brand. I know the Koyomo brushes are so expensive. That’s why their much less expensive vintage outta goat hair brushes, the Pearl Pink and Pearl White brushes, are so popular. First Koyomo brush I bought was the Tsuki Hana-Nuri face brush which is vintage saikoho hair. It’s so soft. Honestly the most prized brush in my collection and I baby that brush
