Shitty D Bag

Rush Pack! Bad idea... I always take my time after this one, plus carry 2 reserves for my more exciting flying. I use some time dilation to show what happens during this 5000 ft descent...
The paraglider doesn't open and I started going into near free fall speeds. I pull my reserve, witch is tied with a string from a packing tab to the deployment bag(so I don't lose the free bag when deploying the reserve). The reserve comes out of the deployment bag as soon as I pull the reserve handle( that is not what is supposed to happen). The result is a horseshoe malfunction. The lines stretch out, the material opens a bit but I am holding the reserve handle that is attached to the deployment bag that is attached to the top of the reserve creating a u-shape. I decide to pull the reserve back in and stuff the mess between my l

If you watch another video where a suicide jumps from the roof of a house, you will be afraid of tall buildings. In the video, the cameraman jumps with a disgustingly laid parachute. This is usually done by the jumper himself. using a parachute that someone else packed is like riding with a blind taxi driver. but you are afraid of flying because you can fall - you can fall out of bed and die.

It's paraglider and not a parachute. They are not design to open up like a parachute. If he waited just a few more seconds, it looks like it may have opened up. Pulling on the A lines may have helped. But it was a hard call, you don't want to open a reserve for paragliding at full terminal speed. But then his reserve got tangled up with the rest of the gear.

@@georgewashington1621 Something like that is just too complicated. How would you even activate it? I also don't think you could generate enough pressure compared to the air flow around the parachute or paraglider. You would have a heavy tank attached to the parachute which also doesn't make sense. The staging of the round and paraglider are quite different so I am not sure which one you are referring too. Paragliders are not intended to open like a parachutes but they do have some ability of open since a paraglider can collapse during a flight. In this case, it just looks like the round lines got tangled up.

@@yodaiam1000 well initially i thought about it as to prevent the paraglider from collapsing. isnt there not much airflow when the paraglider collapses, hence why it collapses? So shouldnt be a lot of force needed to keep the profile? maybe just one such inflated lip in the leading edge?
