In hindu literatures Matter = Dravya means anything which is present, Was present and will be present forever and eternity. Matter is a Very close term to the Dravya. (Akash-Vayu-Jal-Agni-Pruthvi-Atma-Man-Kaal-Disha ) This all are Dravyas (Matter) according to our ancestors. And everything has no boundaries so that's Shiva without limitations.

I feel so fortunate that I was a born a Hindu and more than that have some spirituality within me. Whenever I read or listen about Adi Shakti and Shiv ji, I feel so great.. I don’t know why. A sense of strength, and calm comes within me. Bharat has always been a land, Sanatan dharma has always been a way of living, where Females are given equal or more reverence than males. Shiv is the pure consciousness / God and Shakti is the ability/ power of Shiv which enables Shiv to know it's true self . You are Shiv and the force which drives you in a particular direction through which you realize your true powerful self as Shiv , is Shakti . A simple example could be a seed . A seed is Shiv and the force ( the nature) which allows the seed to become a full grown tree is Shakti . So in life , the nature , the driving force , the guiding light , our motivations , inspirations are all Shakti and we are Shiv . Shakti is not apart from Shiv , just a power of Shiv . Without Shakti , Shiv is Dormant and without Shiv , there is no Shakti at all . Humans are classified into males and females . Males symbolize Shiv and the females Shakti . The male seed is the genesis / origin without which there is no world but without the female egg , its just dormant , it doesn't become a human . So these are philosophies which help us understand the very crux of life .

Shiva and Shakti are not different entities. They are complementary to each other when Shakti manifests from Shiva. Shiva is only the pure and supreme consciousness without any form; consciousness is the cause of everything in the universe, without which nothing can exist, while Shakti is the form of Shiva's power. When shiva express or activate its own, his power manifest as shakti. It is not male and female, but masculine and feminine energy.

I believe there are two aspects of worshipping Shakti. Either Worship her as Energy or as mother. I worship her as mother without any expectations to get something in return. I just need her support as a mother and nothing else. When you have the ability to see a mother in her ferocious form, then I think automatically the fearfull form turns into playful. And moreover, we are jeevatmas or the santaans of Divine father shiva and Divine mother shakti. We shouldn't crave for getting energy. Instead, we should crave for the motherhood, the mother's love. Is there any powerful mantra than just closing your eyes, visualising her form and calling "maa".

Shiva the endless, no one knows where it begins, no one knows where it ends, just like space. Shakti, from little quarks moving to huge galaxies in cosmos is energy. Together they make life possible. Although when they come together they are the real form of Ardh-Nareshwar which was separated to create all of the universes. Brahma created many life forms but it was not sustained, it always disintegrated, Brahma goes to Shiva for help and that's when he separated himself from Shakti, became an Aghori (the one who doesn't have a normal lifestyle). Brahma used the Shakti to create the life as we know of it now. Part of that shakti also took rebirth as Sati but unfortunately before she could become one with mystic she committed 'Deh Tyag' and then took rebirth again as Maa Parvati. She did all the Omens to become the Mystic so that she could be 'one' again with Shiva. Shiva is said to be the destroyer of worlds, that happens when all Energies goes back to him and he becomes Ardh-Nareshwar again. A complete cosmic entity in a whole other dimension where nothing is, nothing was, and nothing will be, no concept of time, space and gravity.

Shiva and Shakti are active and inactive states of same thing (infinite fabric of existence/ Nirgun Brahm and Sagun Brahm). both are equally important for balance. Without Shakti Shiva is a conscious corpse. without Shiva shakti is unconscious. hence both are one and same. Shiva is Masculine version of Shakti and Shakti is feminine version of Shiva. enlightened humans psycholoically are balance of both qualities but physically one is natrually dominent which we call gender depending on our karmas.
