@@systumm274 gandaberunda occurs in pre Indian literature as a mythical animal, later the karnataka vijaynagar vaishnava kings added it to local/regional vaishnava folklores 😂😂 Vishnu has 24 forms as per Vishnu puran and Bhagavata purana , from adipurush (narayana) to kalki deva. No gandaberunda. No shastra speaks of gandaberunda. Ask to 90% vaishnavas throughout India. Everyone will deny that. No vaishanava rituals, ekadashis worship gandaberunda. Shiva Purana, Linga Purana, Nandi Purana mentions of 28 incarnations of Lord Shiva. Sharabha (winged lion) is one of them. Like Bhairava, Vrisha, Yatinath Hamsa, Pashupatinath, etc total 28 incarnations of Lord Shiva. Sharabha Jayanti is a shaivaite festival, like the 12 shivaratris, bhairava ashthami, etc many such shaiva rituals. There is an upanishad in atharva veda dedicated to sharabha, known as sharabha upanishad, furthermore Yajur Veda sathpatha brahmana mentions Sharabha deva . No mention of any being called "gandaberunda" in any Veda, Upavedas, Vedangas, Itihasas. Sanatan dharma follows and works of its own will, not as per your bias as to who is greater Shiva or Vishnu.
