Great discussion! I came across this video at the exact point I was struggling, asking myself, which devatas to meditate to. I have been struggling for sometime now. I'm kind of the person who pray to all the gods, but to choose a single devata is something I don't want to, as it feels like disrespecting other devatas. After watching this video, it came to me or became clear that, I should begin my journey with Lord Ganesha, as literally, my life began after meeting my wife, this was after finding myself a Ganesha temple and praying to Lord Ganesha. I'm forever indebted to Lord Ganesha. I never asked for her but the way I met her is much more than just a coincidence. Now 10 years before meeting my wife and 1 year before settling in Manipal, the reason for me to be in that small city (Manipal) was Lord Shiva. One day I was lying down, meditating, randomly started meditating to Lord Shiva for what it felt like an hour. Never meditated before. I was fully energized, when i came down to meet my uncle, they were getting ready to go to Manipal. One the way they stopped at the Dharmasthala temple (Lord Shiva). It felt like another fate. It felt like I was meant to be here in Manipal after we came back from the temple. Manipal is situated in Udupi, protected by Udupi Krishna. I feel that all devatas are interconnected, like an interlocking fingers, ultimately leading to the body, the reality, Turiya. I SEE THE PATH LAID DOWN TO ME, Begin my meditation with Lord Ganesha to Lord Shiva to Lord Krishna. I may encounter other devatas in my spiritual journey, I feel like i will be guided. The stories I encountered might just be a coincidence or a spiritual experience but I personally believe it is much more than just a coincidence. Now writing this 20 years since my 1st day in Manipal.

This episode of TRS started through the auto play and since i was doing something else, I wasn’t able to change it. 5 mins into listening to Mr. Dhumatkar and i just could not change it. This person has immense knowledge, he knows what he is talking about and he knows how to. The way he explained everything he made sure that he makes it understandable for everyone. Ive been brought up in a foreign country since i was 2 yrs old, ive just found spirituality and draw to hinduism, i asked my mother if we should read vedas, im generally interested in philosophy it is my hobby. But she responded with you dont have to read vedas to be devoted to god, and who knows if its real. I didnt say anything, but now i realise i should definitely read them, living here everyone is always questioning the Hindu religion, when i question their religion they get defensive. But they get mad when we get defensive, and the lack of knowledge people my age who follow hinduism doesn’t help. Also as someone who can only read english 🥲, it is hard for me to find original translations. I want to know everything, so i can teach my future kids and parents

@Jaya Mukherji; Jayadi, India has Hinduism/ Sanatan dharm with millions of deities to worship and still needs a variety of spiritual philosophies. WHY? One explanation could be the deities worshiped. Please be sure to think along with me. Hindu deities like the late Sri Ram, Krishna, and Shiva were KATILS and many KALPANIC devi devtas. Shivji beheaded his son, like a murkh; he crushed the beheaded body lying on the ground with a large and heavy head of a slaughtered elephant creating a MURDA called Ganapathi, worshiped for good luck and removing life obstacles. Good luck, Murkh Hindu samaj Sri Ram and Krishna are claimed to be the avatars of Vishnu without presenting any evidence in the last 5000+ years. WHY? It is a FALSE claim. Valmiki and Tulsi Das Ramayan narrate that Sri Ram, in rage and revenge, killed Ravan and Khumbhkaran for Sita haren with the help of a monkey, Hanuman, that failed to pluck out a Sanjivini booty growing on the Dorangiri parvat, yet, Hanuman, a monkey broke apart the parvat. LOL. Monkeys, including Hanuman, evolved with a tail and without the wings necessary to fly. Still, Murkh, Valmiki, and Tulsi Das narrated that a monkey without wings, Hanuman flew across Bharath to light a fire with its flaming tail, biologically absurd and false, to Lanka to burn its inhabitants, including innocent women and children, to death, committing the world's first GENOCIDE for KATIL Ram. Jayadi, you know Krishna is popularly called 'makhan CHORE routinely stealing from the neighbors and ogling their women bathing at the Yamuna ghats. Frequently, he would hide their clothes to lust at their wet, partially nude bodies like a PERVERT. Jayadi, how would you feel if anyone violated your privacy while showering. After failing to peaceful mediation, Krishna encouraged Arjun to do his Kshatriya dharma. He joined as the charioteer in MASS-MURDERING 100 Kauravas to resolve their family feud over the inheritance of Hastinapur. You may be surprised that Bhagwat Gita is FALSELY claimed to contain Krishna's verbal discourse with Arjun at the Mahabharath ydh in 5561 BCE. Both Arjun and Krishna died without leaving a manuscript necessary to reliably print the Gita accurately. The earliest printing of the Gita occurred after many generations over a few Centuries in the 15th Century from a new manuscript written by an anonymous author, who and his grandparents were not even born during the Mahabharath ydh, in 5561 BCE. Jayadi, as Bengali, you glorify vicious and kalpanic Durga with 8 hands riding a lion, LOL, while murdering Mahishasura with a trishule. You also worship Kali with blood dripping from her tongue. Jayadi, think and use your common sense if glorifying these murderous deities would give any spiritual satisfaction or mocha. Facts lead to the truth. Sadly the truth is bitter. Worship a loving and living Parmeswar. Satyemeva Jayete.

I think at some point, one doesn't need to give explanation to beings who are materialistic and don't want to understand anything philosophical or spiritual and also spirituality comes to you and you don't go to it. note:something really happened with me today as you were saying. today I was more attracted towards lord shiva from searching lord hanuma to all over going to lord shiva and learning about the power that lord shiva have and the lessons and i believe is the one of the way it teaching me to move forward
