Shiva or Rudra - Concept in Veda

Creation of Universe by the divine is a perpetual act and
not a few days affair like constructing a house. All living things follow this principle. For example, Creation of a bird do not end up when it come out from the egg. Its evolution to develop body, wings, growing strong, then an old age and even death is part of creation. This is why Hindus says birth and death are two sides of same coin.
Of course, this may look like a paradox. But once you understand the concept behind Rudra or Siva then you can overcome the paradox in the statement and understand the broad sense of creation. Purana in its narrative style of storytelling have told and retold us that, Brahma is creater, Vishnu sustains and Siva
annihilate or destroy. These stories while creating concrete forms for Siva are not ideal to understand the concept behind the cosmic dance of Siva or Siva-Shakti.
Among the Hindu gods, the concept of Siva is most difficult
to understand. Hindus still have the prevailing concept that Siva is formless. That is why, in temples, while all other Gods were crafted with beautiful figures, Siva alone is installed in the form of a simple stone and called as Siva Linga, a symbol of Siva. The most popular mantra, “Om Nama Sivaya”, is not a praise to Lord but a high spiritual concept in which a devotee identifies himself with Siva, the infinite existence. Ardhanariswara,
Siva-Sakti, Dakshinamurthi are other important concepts.
The concept of Nataraja, the rhythmic dance of Siva is the best imagination for the Harmony in Nature. This has amazed many a scientists and philosophers. Frijof Capra, Coomaraswamy, Vilayanur s Ramachandran are few

There is evidence to suggest that rudra from the vedas is a different celestial personality from shiva all together and that shiva is based off a southern diety , my opinion is that shiva is a sort of incarnation of rudra and that shiva can bring out an Ansh of rudra through his destructive eye and dance

Not at all. Shiva is Rudra of Vedas. Sivo namasi- Yajurveda 3.63 Not only that, Kalagnirudra is one among the trimurti. Meaning Shiva gives rise to Trimurti Vishnu, Brahma and Kalagnirudra. Shiva is Parabrahman.

@@sirfin459 bro thare are 2 aspects of 1 god 1st is nirgun and 2nd is shagun.....shankar is shagun form and shiva is nirgun....we can also say that shankar resides in nirgun form as shiva or we can also say shagun form of shiva is shankar....rudra is ferocious form of shiv or shankar

There are many Brahmandas (universes) and each Brahmanda has Thrimurthis (Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva). Rudra lives different to this Brahmanda & he is superior to Thrimurthis of all Brahmandas. So Shiva is one of the Thrimurthi. And his consort is Parvathi/Shakthi. However superior to all Brahmandas and Rudra himself is Parameshwar & Parameshwari (Lalitha Triupura devi), who lives in Manikantikadweepam. She/He also is all pervaded and resides in heart of everyone. This being only seen as female form in this universe as Lalitha Tripura Devi for fighting with Bandasura & created Kama Dev again . Kam Dev turned into ashes with the anger from Shiva..& that stopped the entire universe cycle for 60,000 years and Bandasura, Rakshasha got chance to rule for that period with the boon from Rudra.

Uma is mentioned, Shiva is called Umapati, Kumara(Kartikeya) is mentioned, Ganesha is mentioned(see Taittiriya aranyaka for Kumara and Ganesha Gayatri) Kailasha is mentioned (see Shiva Sankalpa Khila Sukta)
