The Papanasam Sivan kriti-'sivakama sundhari jagadhamba' is a popular Kriti in Tamil. Neelakanta Sivan’s ‘Endraikku Siva Krupai , Subbaraya Sastri’s ‘Emani Ne, and ‘Saranam Ayyappa, ’another kriti of Papanasam Sivan itself are the crispy portrayals of the ragam Mukhari ! For laymen to musicians, the piece-de-resistance in Mukhari is of course ‘Vaada Malare’ from Ambikapathy, Tamil Film.. glittering vocals of T.M. Soundararajan and Bhanumathy in G. Ramanathan’s music are a treat. 'Kanavu Kanden Naan’ from Sivagangai Seemai ( Tamil Film) is a lovely example of Mukhari in film. Here the sister duo .Ra-Ga sisters presented melodious recital . Anupallavi n Charanam in wonderful eloquence without enhancing tone and pace.....nicely restrained......Best wishes.

Hi. Sung well. Unsung mukhari. Two reasons senior vidwans and senior listeners promote through generations. Firstly this mukhari not only sweeping raga but also weeping raga. Accept only humorous part in it. 2. In sabhas, if sung penultimately few will be sleeping in their seats. As if Kutcheri not finished. Here also go for humor journey.
