Evette, while you were at the light house, in New London, Ct. You could have checked the light house inn and restaurant, not far from the light house. Too many tales about the Inn.

Yes and know...I was stationed there at Ft. Trumbull on a coast guard ship and the current could really move through there going in or out....aiming for the shore may seem simple but the water is cold, its further than it looks, things are swimming beneath you and looking UP...it's all very intimidating and not as easy as it looks!

It’s the Long Island sound you could swim that in summer or fall no problem, not to mention you could catch a ride by one of the hundreds of boats that go by, and the sharks aren’t the aggressive kind, there is mostly black dolphins. I grew up near there

I suspect that the seabird noises are involved in your investigation. You are dressed lightly must be warm. Perhaps summer. so I think you may be hearing eider chicks and their mom. I also heard several gull noises. I know because I work with these birds. Brilliant show and I don't have all the answers. Thanks 🐟
