A lot of skeptics or non-believers might have many contradictory questions regarding Vastu. For example, families living in flats have the same room layout in the whole building, but Not all the families will have the same problems. Even family members living the same house might not have the same problem. This is where astrology comes in. If soil gets hump or settles down (swells or shrinks) or water retains in it is no good opposing the things told above in podcast because its bad for foundation in long term.( It is due to different minerals present in it causing the foundation failures) The best is one where water doesn't retains much nor the volume changes. All told above is not true right.
