Now that I think about it, McLaren has got a very well filled up range: -MP12-C -MP12-C Spyder -650S -675LT -675LT Spyder -P1 -P1 GTR -540C -570S -570GT. And it's only a 6 years old car manufacturer.

I agree with you on that one. It's difficult but I still think I would choose a used 650S over a new Sports Series model. I am still unsure about the styling of the Sports Series, especially the 570S. I do think the 570GT sorts that out a bit more though.

Tim this was a great video in terms of your knowledge about the car and how you articulated it. Also cameras were in good positions so we could see what was going on. And my usual annoyance of bad audio wasn't an issue here so very enjoy full video. Although it would have made the video even better had you had a mic on. But bravo.

I personally think this is (if we do not count colour configuration of this car) the second best looking McLaren with the 570S in the first place. But if I had the choice between the two I'd go for the 570GT because of the extra luggage space and the softer ride. I prefer a sporty ride, but I'm pretty sure that even the 570GT is sporty enough to be interesting :)

The gt has a sport pack you can get that gives it the suspension and powertrain of a 570s so it's even sportier

I must say, I find this the most beautiful McLaren yet! What an exquisite looking car, both on the exterior as well as interior side of it. I'm not a hardcore racer kinda guy, I prefer smoothness and comfort in a ride better. But the fact that you can go at it the with 570GT when preferred is just excellent. Hope to see more of this car Tim :)

Considering he Currently has a 675LT and taking delivery of a spyder version next month aswell I don't think he will order one. He already has a daily and really who needs three mclarens at once. Mr JWW should swap his r8 for one of these tho.

I don't think so, I believe it is important to him that the car holds its value, which would not be the case with the 570GT. For example, he bought the LT and GT4 new because he anticipated them not to lose much value. But he bought the FF used to avoid losing too much money. He mentioned this in one video I believe.

15 new models over the next 6 years? Holy crap, I thought they had already gone over the top with the MP4 coupe, 12c Spyder, 540S, 570S, 625S, 650S, 650S Spyder, 675LT, 675LT Spyder, P1, P1GTR. I guess we'll see a GT, S, Coupe, Spyder and perhaps GT-S for every 20bhp variant.

I actually prefer this over some of McLaren's larger models. There's something sweet about a 'small' (relatively speaking) McLaren sports car, especially one that's focused more on long journeys.

Shmee150 My friends dad just got a 570S, he accidentally left the bonnet slightly open and as it has no catch it flew up when he was driving, smashed the windscreen and caused 32K's worth of damage McLaren said. He refused to pay it, design fault IMO.

He said he accidentally pressed the release button in the car and didn't realise apparently. It should not then fly up even when that happens. Side doors always have a catch so even if the door is not fully shut it won't open. The bonnet is arguably more dangerous than that as you can't see then! Imagine that flying up at speed! Design fault.

This means it would destroy the looks and more importantly the practicality (the boot opening would be reduced and the actual boot volume would also be decreased).
