Tbf the Black Series doesn't sound fantastic stock either. At least with all the regulation filters. Personally this new AMG GT era is not worth it unless you have a family and need the extra practicality for that, I would rather have a 911 GTS or a Vantage than any new gen AMG GT.

AMG lost its charm when they made the AMG GT into a 911 proportioned AWD 2+2 instead of keeping the long nosed viper esk proportions of the previous gen. If you ask me the older one looks newer & will historically be the more favorable model, especially when it has less screens

From what I’ve heard, the new AMG GT coupe is more grand tourer and didn’t design the chassis as much for the track as the previous model and that’s a reason enough for me to keep the old one as it’s going to be unique and go up in price for sure as well.

Sorry, but that is honestly a downgrade from the black series. You know it well. 99% of AMG GT owners do NOT want rear seats and a much heavier car. No. Car was very usable as it was before this generation. Wlile we are at it, less electronics would be great.

Some clearly did want back seats, if they didn't, they wouldn't be there. Also, you can delete the rear seats for this model. In fact, as standard they come without rear seats apparently.

The old amg gt will always be better as it was the successor to the sls. You can see this with the models, the design, the interior and the power output. It even has an exclusive m178 engine. Whereas the new one is the successor to the sl. They made it more like a 911. Sure it drives nice, and for a 2 ton behemoth it actually feels nice to drive and launches really fast. Ultimately though, it has the m177 engine which can be found in a far larger variety of mercedes cars from 8 years back. The exclusivity factor isnt there anymore.
