Hi, I can't believe that I never commented on this. I re-watch it regularly as this was my first video of yours that I saw and I go back every so often as I gett more knowledgeable in the theory of millinery. The practice I still sorely lack, still. Only having 6-8 hours away from the bed weekly is putting a damper on my practicing anything. Well training ballroom is still on as it slowly extends my endurance for other things. Can't recommend a chronic pain issue no matter how severe. Re-watching this I come to a question. What kind of machine sewing needle would you recommend for sewing sinamay, please? Thank you for yet another lovely time in your company. Yours, Ann
@SHMillinery Жыл бұрын
Hi Ann, I always appreciate the time you take to watch and comment on my videos, and I send you good wishes, and hope you manage some more ballroom. With regard to needles, I just use a standard machine needle in a larger size (90). many thanks, Sara
@annlidslot8212 Жыл бұрын
@@SHMillinery Hi again, Thank you for the needle recommendation. You go the part I thought being the most pertinent e.d the sice. Well I like the you that you show us and I know that one of the variables that are important for the videos to be successful are the comments. So of course I like to leave a message, and to not get boring I need to find something new to say, so I share. Some might think it to be TMI but that's neither here or there. Thank you, my ballroom is coming along, and there are so many new things to achieve which is great. It slowly is giving me more stamina so that I can work on my other interests, hats for one, just going from 6 hours a week to 8 hours is such a difference. It's got me to a point that I've even placed orders from Petersham, though I don't have anything to block on yet. I'm still pondering if I should buy a wig-head or a hat block to start with so that is holding things back at the moment. I know a brim or three or more that I like but I should decide how I want to work a crown first I think. I have only ordered sinamay so far as we are coming up to summer at some point this year, but I would love to block felt at some point in the future. Well, this takes the comment into the realms of letters so I should stop here I think. I hope to catch you on time when you do your next live session. Yours, Ann

Hi Sara, is there another way of attaching a headband besides sewing it on? I am thinking that maybe one may wish to wear same fascinator on the right, and another day on the left? 🤷♀️ just thinking hey 🙈🙈
@SHMillinery3 жыл бұрын
Hiya, I have done a removable headband on small items, but on a big hat, if it is not firmly fixed in place the hat wobbles about like a spinning top :)
