The best thing about the Graham Norton show us how relaxed he makes his guests. Ed sitting on Graham's lap to watch his mate on the monitor. Priceless.

Great episode, apart from Josh Widdicombe interrupting everyone, I wanted to hear Matthew's story about his fan mail..

Absolutely. Graham and his team are the best in the business! I can't wait till they get guests to sit on the same couch again. Some of the banter is better that way.

Graham's team? Sure, they are great. BBC with their biased journalism, anti-royal agenda, lack of research and factual coverage, and unscrupulous repeating of russian propaganda narratives? Not really.

Dunno why no one ever said it, but those starting 10 minutes from Graham are always so good. Is totally pay to watch a standup act by Graham. Dude has impeccable comic timing.

Regarding McConaughey’s film GOLD, art really does imitate life. But nothing is more wierd, effed up, and damn crazy than life itself…and the people living it. 😂

Brits have some of the best shows. I'm American and this is my first time seeing an episode in its entirety, really surprised with how well it's done. In America we used to have great late night shows, something kinda similar to this but now they are just total garbage. This show is done the right way.

The bunk with the desk under is very common in American colleges, at least in the Midwest, like in the dorms. (Obviously, they are pretty small rooms. Mini fridge and that's about it.) And I'm elderly these days, but I did have several, what were called, "Pen pals" growing up. So, I too had a desk in my bedroom growing up, but it wasn't under the bunk bed as there were 2 beds and my little brother stayed on the bottom until I got older and as his sister, it started to get weird, so I got my own room (in what was previously my parent's office.) Sorry about the over-share.....I just remembered it because you all talked about it......

Just to explain, in the US, the political situation is such that campaign donors are considered the politician's "constituents." Not the land, the longterm benefit of the country, nor most of the non-wealthy citizens. Its so bad, and its been going on so long (on both sides of the aisle), that ANY alternative to "politics as usual" became very attractive to a portion of our country (and honestly, quite understandably.) The situation was ripe for a demagogue, and thus.....Trump came to be..... This, despite that Trump honestly despises most of the voters who think he's awesome, and his political decisions and (real) platform is entirely against their self-interests in nearly every way....... So yeah, part of the US has gone to crazy town, culminating in Jan 6, 2021...... Admittedly, most of them thought he would pardon them, but he couldn't care less about them and as a result, most of them are going to jail, some for a long time.......

Thank you, thank you.Great to see complete show with the performance. I have no other way to see this show and am really grateful to you Shadow Heart. Some fun stories. Not the summit of these shows but entertaining. However Ed Sheeran is super. Really talented musician and adorable to look at, beautiful smile and very amiable personality. Not sure about putting his boots on the sofa. My mother would've killed me doing that. Must be the younger generation, not housebroken LOL but His red hair, eyelashes just enchanting and mesmerising. I find Matthew a bit dull and non reactive. Many actors are like that, they only have personalities when they are playing a part. On the other he must have really liked Ed Sheeran's song and made the extra effort to walk towards him and congratulate him. That was an admirable gesture. The end was delightful. We see how really relaxed and comfortable he is as a man and kind to people. He was genuinely pleased to see and encounter his old mate. I admire how he took control. Graham said they would meet backstage and Ed said nah let's bring him out to the Sofa. Very generous spirit Ed. Also the way he sat on Graham's lap shows he is not threatened by Graham's sexual orientation given that Ed seems to be heterosexual. In any case this would never happen in America. I have often observed the more uptight american men that are guests give Graham a handshake keeping him at a distance or one of those bizarre almost hugs still keeping a distance with arm and elbow between them or some variation as opposed to those men who are really comfortable with their own sexuality and give him a big hug just because he is a fun person, at least on stage. No idea how he is privately. Mostly on this show It is inspiring to see everyone accepting each other in good camaraderie.
@shmookins6 жыл бұрын
Glad that you are also a fan of the show. "There are dozens of us! DOZENS!" - Arrested Development quote. :p As for differences between Brits and Americans, I wouldn't look too much into it because they are different culture after all. But I do notice that Brits are more 'mature' than Americans- whether that is a real case or not. I also notice how British humor is far less 'PC' than American humor and Brit audience reactions are far more relaxed with it- which is why I use the word 'mature'.

Ed took some time for real experiences. I have taken a Saudi prince into my life for the same reason. Money and position corrupts behaviour if it is not dealt with. I remember Justin Bieber's mum having concerns for her son in the early days. He's in a bad place now. His team obviously took over, as they do. They begin to resist 'no'. Because why? Everybody is telling me everything I do is gold. Yeah, money for them. Good or especially bad behaviour gets in the press. So the money machine goes around. My prince now has values. He knows he can't get people to let him behave badly just because he says, "I'm a prince." He has learned a lot from me and the friends I introduced him to. But he will always be a work in progress. I have come to love him. But he has been a challenge. How do you normalise entitled people? Only if they let you. Like super nanny, I found out he needed structure, discipline, activity,correction and praise. But praise only for something really good. Back to childhood. Some of them never had a good one. Some a great one. But the same rules of behaviour apply through our lives.
