This is def a fun set. I finished the base set 1-58 awhile back and have moved onto the other digimon figure sets. Like the skateboard versions and 3 in figure lines. Feels like these mini figures took off in popularity right around the time that i finished up collecting them so got in just under the wire.

Yea I think with the release of Digimon Adventure 2021 and the pandemic people got super nostalgic for digimon just like what happened with Pokemon just on a smaller scale

@@Shnickerman i think i noticed a jump in the later season sets before all of that. Prob 2 years ago. I dont think the other figs have changed in price too much. Some harder to find figs have jumped up in price but the market has been fairly consistent. I think there r more people going for a full set which has driven up the prices but before that i think a lot of people were just buying their favs.

Back in time when I was a kid (1999 - 2003) I used to buy many digimon action figures for +- 6 dollars. They were big and some could evolute to another digimon as far as I remember. Nowadays, these same figures are extremely overpriced. I remember this because I love buying action figures, and I saw an Ominimon on on-line store that I had once.

I love the small ones but yes, it's absolutely baffling how much they've gone up in price in arguably such a small amount of time. from like $10 a pack of 6 or so figures to well over $60 per figure on the cheaper side.

@@aikou2886 yea I was shocked to see how much they started going for. It's also been a great few years for digimon with a new game, card game and 2 anime. Getting more people interested drives demand and price

Hi man. First of all, congrats for the invaluable content, saw your article a couple of days ago and came across your video just today. Anyway, luckily I happen to have a lot of the figures from when I was younger, but my favorite ones are the super deformed from the first series and I think I just completed it since I was only missing the set 4 (one of the coolest, also). Set 8 figures look really small, so I guess they’re series 2, right? Also, I’m having a lot of trouble even finding pictures of the set boxes, which you showed in the video for example at 1:45 , do you happen to have them all saved somewhere? Thanks again 🙏

Thanks for the video! Very instructive. Personally I find the gen 1 figures so much cooler (Set I to Set VII) They look insane and grotesque. Mostly because they released before the anime existed. so they were based off the digimon ''tamagotchi'' from Japan. And the plastic they were made of just feels better in my opinion. I hope one day I can collect all of the gen 1s !!! :)

Your document misses the 3 last Frontier sets which are MEGA rare, I was very fortunate to get my hands on Set 60, but yes 59 and 61 also exist though didn't get English releases and were intended to, good luck getting them because I am still hot on the bar for the other 2 and I "finished" the collection otherwise over 10 years ago

@@Shnickerman Certainly! These are the English names from the Dub of the show and I hope I spelt them right. Set 59: ToritakaBallmon, Aldamon, Toucanmon, JagerLoweemon and Sakkakoumon Set 60 (The one I have): Burgermon, Velgemon, Beowulfmon, Volcamon and Calmarimon Set 61: Flamon, Petaldramon, EbiBurgermon, Susanoomon and Loweemon. Also to note, in the one I was lucky to grab it was in box, I got a blue AncientGreymon (Which I think it something that came out in the mystery figure section of the sets prior so I don't know if it's exclusive to this or not). Whilst I'm here I might as well bring up the other 2 Digimon Data Squad sets, whether they were officially released in some form I have no idea but I'm bringing them up anyway just in case they pop up, what sets they are in I'm not sure but they are as follows... Kudamon, Kamemon, DotKudamon, DotKamemon, SaberLeomon, Merukimon, Chirinmon, Shawjamon, ShineGreymon and MirageGaogamon Hope this helps ^_^

@@Shnickerman I would like to sell them all. I am not a collector, I really just wanted them for a different purpose. If you are interested I will tell you which ones I have and maybe send pictures. I did look at some of the markings that you mentioned in your youtube video. Some are still in their plastic bags. Some number in the '40s. altogether there are ten different Digimon. I am not familiar with who they are and my little neighbour girl has been helping me find the names. Thanks for your quick response, I am in Alberta Canada and would pack them up and mail them.
