An interesting theory I have is gaiamon is not really that powerful but gaiamon itself coming into being can cause destruction. During the anime and some of the games. The digital world and the "real" world co exist but if they attempt to merge it will cause destruction, you can't overlap both worlds into one place. Gaia according to some philosophies is this: its that all lifeforms are considered part of one single living planetary being called Gaia. So if we go with gaiamon being stopped due to the failed plan in digimon world 3 they were attempting to merge with the earth to become gaiamon means that gaiamon itself is probably a planetary being or worldly being if, it was to suddenly emerge out of nowhere it would cause everything to be destroyed not due to power but the inability to co-habit the same space just like the digital world and the real world overlapping and attempting to inhabit the same space causes destruction the emerge of a planetary being would also have the same effect so it may not be based off-of power that it is so feared. Imagine a football being inside of an egg all squeezed to fit and suddenly tried to expand to natural size instantaneously, it would destroy it. If you destroy everything and your the only 1 left your technically the strongest as there's no1 else to compete.

Theres mf's here in the comments asking if the list is legit or not like they actually think theres a chance that numemon and patamon belong on it. Lol i legit can't tell if theyre trolling or not because most digimon fans are that casual when it comes to knowing lore and consuming any digimon media aside from the dubs of the first 3 seasons. If anything, this voting made me realize that the majority of Digimon fans don't know about digimons like Chronomon or Armamon. I guess they're just too obscure. Ultimately, I see this list as more of "Top 10 favourite strong Digimons".

Sadly, most western digimon fans would be considered casuals and not full on fans in most other fandoms like pokemon or other big series so things exclusive to the subbed anime are pretty obscure already, nevermind many of the english games and forget about expecting most fans to know about things that only happened in japanese only games, manga, audio dramas or v-pet storylines. Historically, digimon has been something a lot of people only think of when a new season of the anime comes out before they lose interest and go back to enjoying other franchises. Its a shame because digimon is one of the best japanese anime franchises imo. Its also kind of messed up for fans in places that dont get the attention from localization teams that they should. They want to enjoy digimon but cant while so many fans who can enjoy digimon whenever they want forget it exists 99% of the time. Despite its lack of support outside japan and being forced to compete with pokemon at times, its managed to endure the test of time just based on its own merits and the few super fans like us that eat it all up. Bringing up digimon with most people, even some self proclaimed fans has a history of eliciting responses like "oh yeah i remember digimon! I used to love that cartoon!" Or "thats still around? I thought pokemon sued them for copyright infringement years ago." Its something that always depressed me a bit since i love digimon. I can only imagine how annoying that is for fans who dont get the series released where they live. Luckily it seems to be getting way more recognition these days and is finally getting seen as more than a silly pokemon clone to enjoy between yearly gamefreak pokemon releases. Lots of people are coming to youtube channels like this one and other places online to immerse themselves in it and learn the lore and characters and im happy to see people start to enjoy digimon as much as i do. The creators seem like they are considering fans outside japan way more too so hopefully it will continue to grow.

@@Coomamon_Memes The TCG is doing a great job at getting people to the franchise. People are getting quite burned out of YGO and MtG is a lost cause at this point. The Digi TCG feels like huge breath of fresh air as it's very easy to get into, cheaper than YGO and honestly just quite fun. Maybe this way it can finally escape from Pokemon's shadow (mainly because the Pokemon TCG is one huge joke and people only buy cards to collect them, nobody actually plays it).

@@DominatorLegend true but the last few digimon games have been bangers too and the adventure reboot and ghost game got people talking as well. That and the pokemon games haven't exactly been popular since jumping to 3d art style up until legends arceus launched today. I just picked it up and its honestly 10× better than all of 3d pokemon combined. Hopefully it doesn't slow digimons roll too much though. The digimon fandom grabbed up a lot of pokemon fans who were fed up with the franchise and hopefully they are invested enough into digimon by now that they continue liking both franchises like i have my whole life. I half expect them to go back to old habits of being unreasonable over other monster taming/battling games like digimon. They arent damn clones. Its its own rpg genre thats needed some love for a long time. Ideally other monster taming style games like nexomon will keep doing well too and along with digimon will give pokemon good competition to stop the mediocrity that the series has been known for since the 3ds.

I mean, you do have a point. Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode or Apocalymon (who if you think about it, are the two sides of the same coin, one representating all living Digimon in one and the other all dead/defeated/rejected Digimon in one) probably have the necessary raw power to defeat ZeedMilleniummon but neither of them can stop Zeed from pulling his reversal shenanigans (not counting protagonist-plot-armor-cheat kicking in) to bring himself back, but likewise Zeed is outclassed by X7 SM and Apocaly in Rank/standing/mass of Data to completely erase them, so that would be a Deadlock situation. Though, if Gaiamon doesn't ONLY erase one Digital World JUST with it's existence alone BUT ALSO encloses all the other alternative Digital realms as well when it is born, then that's a no-brainer. By absorbing everything, it becomes everything, including all Digimon existing, dead or in whatever state they were put into. And that's probably why Gaiamon will never come into existence since LITERALLY EVERYONE (be it good, evil, neutral, insane or Admin) would work together to not let that ever happening.

Expected to see Imperialdramon PM, Ragnalordmon, Chronomon and other strong Digimon. Most of the Digimon are like not even close to being the strongest. I actually really liked both season of Xros Wars. I thought the concept was alot of fun especially cause 7/10 Fusion Digis are the most iconic/powerful. All of Shoutmon and Greymons forms were awesome. Plus Minervamon is way better than Mervamon imo. Sparrowmon is great too and needs a digivolution line

Gaiamon i always imagined it like a Gigantic Dragon with the Earth on its Stomach and Holding it with his Arms. Or with the Earth on its Tail as a Weapon who shoots the Life Force as a Ray or uses it to smash his Enemies. I would love to try to Design it but sadly im not a good Drawer. My only Talent is being creative and imagine it in my Head so that i can describe it. Maybe one Day there is a Device that can turn imagined Thougts into Pictures. That would make it easier for Shows and Games to have the Designs already done. And it would be easier to get hired as a Designer because you only need to make the Description of the Monster or what you designed.

I think that Digimon are a bit like Pokemon in that naturally they have a range of power they can achieve. So one Agumon might be far more powerful than another. This can mean that a boss in some series are a henchman in others but the power level doesn’t change.

Wow, based on the winner I guess Digimon World 3 was pretty popular after all. Glad to see it as I loved that game. But I feel that Gaiamon's pre-evolution deserves some mention. Snatchmon, with the power to fuse with anything and claim its power, has a unique advantage. Getting stronger is what Digimon do best and could be said to be their greatest ability. But Snatchmon has weaponized that power and with it, came the closest to forming Gaiamon.

THIS. They are at the same level as beings like Ogudomon X and Jesmon GX. Victorygreymon sliced through a fusion of the main Yggdrasil and the Demon Lord Barbamon. Hurting the main Yggdrasil is imposibile if you don't transcend all the concepts and laws of nature of the DW. We k ow this from Chronicle X.They'd be able to trash Ogudomon X without needing something like OS Generics as in Jesmon's case. They are tailor made to take down God. The being who created all the laws of nature and concepts in the DW and has power over everything in it. Then they fought a being that completly transcends Yggdrasil who transcends the entire DW multi layered multiverse.

That Beelzemon is even on this list irks me as a Leomon fan, most of his power was either stolen from other Digimon or “a gift from the Sovereign” and yet when it mattered (saving Jeri from the mess *he* made) he got his leather-wearing ass handed to him like he was the Villain of the Day! Well, it is true that any digimon would looks weak in other iteration. but there is a reason for that. It is because Not all digimon is accessing their deepest potential from their digicore. even digimon can becoming more stronger from their potential by absorbing other digimon or learning about other digimon. For example omegamon. omegamon's true ability is so strong that it is maybe one of the strongest digimon in digital world. after gaining omega inforce, it can see into the future. even if he access all of its potential, it can see into the future in the whole battle. in adventure, omegamon is only accessing omega inforce in a small fraction. He can only see into the future sometimes. for example when he accurately stab the right diablomon. it is also possible he do it too in later movies without the viewers know. but in the v-tamer comic book version. omegamon isnt accessing any of its potentials. even his power is only a little stronger from the other megas. Another example is beelzebumon who can use beast king fist after absorbing leomon That is why omegamon is losing so much even though being one of the strongest digimon. Also there are digimons that the power isnt coming from their own power but because of external factor. these digimon doesnt need to access their best potential to beat their opponents, but they just need this factor. for example burst mode, or bond of courage and bond of friendship.

Gaiamon i know what Creature could compete against it. Azatoth from H.P Lovecraft could be a worthy Opponent. As soon as he wakes up Gaiamon is destroyed trough its Special Move Reality Crusher. But because this Move is so powerful he goes back to sleep as soon as the Battle is over. Making Reality exist again and make all Lifeforms except Gaiamon alive again.

Basically the only ones that are valid are zeedmillenniummon, gaiamon, shoutmon X7 superior mode, susanoomon, and ogudomon. All the rest are a joke and don't count. Zeed is the strongest one here as he was able to almost kill ENIAC and ABC the true absolute gods of the digital worlds. Yes WORLDS as in plural as in all the series/games/manga/ whatever derive from them.

I mean, Jesmon is already stated to have been basically impossible to beat due to its OS Generics, and Jesmon GX is obviously even stronger. Even if he couldn't outright kill them, at the very least he should be able to wall them just from that.

@@jonathangoodwin5609 the thing is there is a very good possibility that zeed already beat gesmon since he was conquering all realities across space and time and only lost to ryo because he's his only weakness. Ontop of ENIAC and ABC are the absolute gods of the digital world and everything comes from them and zeed was able to beat them.

This List really shows that most people have no idea what digimon are strong. I believe the strongest is Lucemon X it is said to be as stronger than God.

Well you are only partially right. There are Digimon that are just plain stronger than the rest by definition. Take for instance Shoutmon v7 superior is comprised of the vast majority of other Digimon residing in the Digital World.
