I think I'm right in saying that Roxette were one of the few European bands that broke in the US before the UK. I 100% agree that Marie could sing anything and it would pleasing on the ear.

It has been said before of Marie that she could sing the phonebook. You are in good company there!

By 2020 this song had been played on US radio 6 million times, so yes, you have probably heard it before!

Per called this the big bad ballad from Look sharp. The music video is awesome. Marie belting that last chorus always gives me everything I didn't know I needed. Just AMAZING ❤️

This was, of course, their second US number 1. Completely deserved

It's a divorce song written for a friend of Per's. They ended up getting the divorce, but they also got to the top of the charts. Co-written by someone from Per's former band, a band that has made a couple of comebacks already after initially breaking up. Fresh comeback and new music coming up this spring.

This one is another beautifully structured song that just draws you into the sentiment. As mentioned the live video does kick it up a gear.

Amazing song again and again... Marie's voice is supreme iconic! Thanks again for this masterpiece. Some details about the "Listen To Your Heart" song: The lyrics came from an all night conversation between Per and a friend who was going through a heartbreaking divorce, imagine! That magical piano intro and the end is out of this world. Thanks Matt for this reaction. Hugs!

Aaah Roxette's second #1 in the USA. Iconic song with an iconic video. Marie at her best, as usual. Per said this song was about a divorce one of his friends went through. DHT made a mess of this song, a few years back, but it charted surprisingly well.

I agree that the guitar taking over her vocals is tremendous ❤ The live video for this has a bit more gut to it than the album. Thanx for these reactions 👍

You are so very welcome. And indeed, I feel bad, I didn't realize Roxette had slipped for about a week. The next one should come sooner than that. :)

ahh still my favourite from this album and the song that made me Roxer. and I would be very surprised if you had not heard it as it went #1 around the world, also its probably their most sampled, covered song and is also on quite a few play lists on tv series episodes, cold case & killing eve to name just two. However if your going live version per below you'd need to ask which version, Look Sharp or Joyride tour version was very much like album but kicked up a notch. Then there was the CBB Tour & unplugged MTV version. CBB Tour was just Per on guitar & Marie on vocals which was just beautiful. but my personal favourite version of this was the unplugged MTV version. However if you do the Ballads Espanol album you'll get more of the original live version vibe but in Spanish.

Wrong song! It Must Have Been Love is the song in Pretty Woman. And technically should be the next reaction since it was released between Look Sharp! and Joyride.
