Thanks for watching our video! The rocky shores around Japan are home to many fascinating fish such as Giant Trevally, Yellowtail Amberjack and Tuna! Please come and fish in Japan!

@@松本太郎-n7e I would love to! And for sure I will go! But going alone without knowing the place is tough, making for hard fishing...so I need to first study the place for some time before going, or find a group to go with ;) For now, the Azores will have to do ;) Ahahahah Best, Pedro

@@pedrotms5178 If you really are coming to Japan, please contact me. The Azores Islands are a wonderful landscape! I imagine offshore boat fishing there, but what kind of fish can you catch from the shore?

@@松本太郎-n7e My main target from shore is the greater amberjacks (AJs)! Big big AJs used to be very common there, but the industrial fishing is destroying everything. In some hidden places, AJs up to 30kg and even bigger can still be found, with the odd fish above 40kg (I have come across some that were above 50kg, even though I did not manage to land them). From the rocks, my biggest AJs landed was around 31-33kg, but I have seen and hooked bigger beasts. Tuna also have their season and in some spots they can also be caught, sometimes even wahoo from the rocks! Mahi mahi are rare these days but in the peak of the summer I used to find some in one of the islands. Then besides big big fish, there are the usual blue fish that get very big (up to 10kg, with the odd fish above that weight), the barracuda which also grow to those weights, almaco jacks which tend to be found up to 8-10kg from the shore, atlantic bonito, guelly jacks/white trevally and some dusky groupers. I definitely want to plan a trip soon to Japan! I'll get in contact with you.
