Thanks for the shout out Lee! Loving the 32 Sedan project and the direction you’re going with it, going to be a super cool hot rod. To me sedans go full fendered , roadsters fenderless and coupes either way.

@@LGKustoms to expand the fender “rule” a 3 window coupe , heavy chop, channelled the width of the frame with bobbed rear fenders raised up and molded to the body and cycle fenders up front. Five window chopped 3-5” no channel, full fenders or no fenders at all.

Hi Lee and Shannon . No third gear in the '47 you have ... and Lori laughs and says sounds like my truck ... she can't get out of 4 low . Still can drive the mile or so to work at 30 kmph . However see's already to pull out tree stumps or icefishermen that are stuck out on the lake . It's amazing how many people are out there fishing , it's like a town out there .

Hi Lee, Like your channel, and your approach and the music. I would add an inside boxing plate or a triangle to your rear shock mounts. They get a hard beating. Keep it up ! Tommy

Hello Lee. good to see some progress on the 32. I think someone knocked that part of the firewall forward and you have more or less just put it back where it needed to be. You can see a hint of the edges of the recessed section in the metal. Re the rear shocks, It might be better to have the shocks a little bit out from fully compressed, It would be preferable to have the bump stops bottom out before the shocks. Excellent progres, i'm jealous no9f your multi storey shop space. Take care, Mart in England.
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Жыл бұрын
Hi Mart The bumpstops do touch about a 1/4” before the shock bottoms out, so hopefully that’s enough. If not, I can always put shims under the bumpstop mounts

It’s a cool little car. It was built last year by my friend Charlie, and the owner Colin. It was in for a couple days, changed the master cylinder out, gave it a tuneup to cure the high rpm misfire, and worked out a speed shake.

Lee we use RE70S2 wire it is a bitt softer and works well. You can hammer it if you are fast and do not weld too far. The downfall is it is hard to get and most welding shops down our way do not carry it or will not have it available. I have ordered it online bot of course it is a little more expensive. Just a thought.
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Жыл бұрын
That makes sense, the tig rod I use is ER70S.
@davidarthur6205
@davidarthur6205 Жыл бұрын
hey Lee, if you use a countersink bolt to hold the nut on the back of the plate it centralises the nut around the hole perfectly for the weld. just an idea.

..hi Lee....Scott over at CWM calls what you are doing with the firewall the 'S' work that you have to do before you can get to the fun stuff....question...is the blue that is on the radiator shell the color you have picked for the car?...
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Жыл бұрын
Cool. I used to hang out with Scott a lot back in the day. We had a band and played above his barn. The blue is one of the top contenders for color choice.

Hi, Love the channel ! I have the same front brakes as you have there for a car that I am building. I have found most of the parts that I need for them. The brake hoses that I received have a coarse thread on the male end which doesn't work with the fine thread wheel cylinders. Can you suggest what I should order to get a hose with a fine thread on it ? Thanks a bunch !
@LGKustoms
@LGKustoms Жыл бұрын
Should be able to order any 39-48 ford brake hose from wherever you order early ford parts from. Raybesto makes one, I don’t have the part number off the top of my head though.

Hello Lee (hope that's your name :)). New sub here...Love your channel and glad I found it...thanks for showing us your work/shop/experience! I have a shop too...but keep to myself because I'd suck at doing videos haha. I'm a beginner and learning something new everyday thanks to all the shops here on YT and others. I have a question (if you don't answer no problem)...I have a 33 chevy Tudor (Master) and have been doing a lot of body work/Sheetmetal work on it and need to start thinking about the front axle. I'm not sure it's the original and have tried to find info/pics online to verify what it is. It looks like an old ford van dropped straight axle to me but it came with the frame and body when I bought it. It had leaf springs on each side, it has the two flattened-out places on each side molded into the axle. It has drum brakes and i want to change it to disc brakes so need to know what the spindles are before looking around for a kit to switch it over. Do you have a way to find out what the axle is for sure? I want to drill it (it's an I-beam axle). Maybe you know what rotors will fit the spindles (if it is the 33 stock axle)? ANyways thanks again for your time and vids and I look forward to your new vids. peace edit: I'm not going to put the two leaf springs back on but am going to use a single small leaf spring across the axle and make my own shackles and shackle mounts and use hair-pins.

Hi! Thanks for subscribing! Unfortunately without any pictures, I can’t really help. And even with pictures, I still might not be able too. I’m not super familiar with early Chevy stuff. I’d suggest signing up on the HAMB forum and posting a few photos there. Someone should be able to identify it for you Cheers
