Loved this opening in the shorter format games. Once you built the trump wall your opponent wastes a lot of time trying to break through while you are busy attacking him on the kingside.

I will watch the king indian for white a few times, I want to master one opening and know all the responses . That way I can go into a game knowing the actions to take. Like fighting, you have your go to combo and you know it so well, it is automatic. Like a machine. Like that

I think I once played the King's Indian Defense without even knowing it. I remember obliterating the kingside castling side of the board and eventually getting checkmate. It was a fun game.

Can you give some tips on getting better at blitz? I'm a consistent 1900 plus player with classical time control but topped out at a 1000 in blitz. I either blunder or have a winning position but lose on time.

Very well explained. Though I would say, that there is a limited range of ELO for this setup. At my level (1600) I tried it a couple of times, but there was always the pawn exchanges, so you never came to the mid/endgame setup. Above 2000 most likely the opponents know the opening. Nevertheless, very educational and entertaining...
