In the USA version you have to block when you push to turn. And typically, if not always (think it is a requirement) they block someone who has not yet turned. They also put a "steal" into the USA version after the 3rd season, so Keith could have gotten her on his team after she lost the Battle.

The Finnian-Kaylee battle was definitely a duet-style battle, with 2 distinct styles....both so good. Finnian's tone is so made for storytelling that this was definitely more taylor-made for him. The truth is, whoever decided what parts of that song each of those singers were going to sing, you cut Kylie off when she would have shown and gave it to finnian. In other words the strong points of that song she led up to him and then they were handed to finian. That really wasn't fair the way that that song was divided because it didn't give Kaylee the opportunity to really shine in it to the very end. In other words there was only one place in that song where she had an entire sentence to sing.
