I purchased one of Bob’s hitches 10-12 yrs ago, I love it! I pulled our 3 ton feed trailer around with Chevy 1/2 ton pickup twice a week in the South Texas heat(over a 110+*)all summer. I’ve pulled a 3 horse bumper pull trailer. It’s safer for you no jarring of your equipment. Go get one!

I have two of the 16000 lb ones I bought 2 months ago, I love them the only thing is I did notice you have to make your safety chains a little longer and be a little safer backing into driveways with a little hump but other than that pulling stuff around keeps your trailer and your equipment safe!! A drop hitch is around $200 so if you need a drop they would definitely be worth paying the extra for a safer ride! They aren't cheap but if it saves your trailer or help you stop its well worth the extra.

Aaron, you answered my question. No one else answered my primary concerns of pulling a livestock trailer. If I can make the livestock trailer ride smooth, then that's what I need. Yes, I'm on the fence throwing that kind of money at an air hitch but if it truly works, then that's what I need. Thanks again. Full-watch. 👍🏽🤠 12/9/22

It’s definitely a game changer. I just pulled a load of Steers to auction couple days ago. Probably hauled 20 loads of cattle using the hitch already and it works flawlessly no matter how many animals I put in. This last batch was in really cold weather but the air bag seems to hold up well in any condition. 👍

I've been a little over 20,000 with my 7.3 f-250, pulling a 28 foot gooseneck. I didn't think it was a bad ride. We've been the sand bagging route before too. 2013 I think it was. Bagging around our houses. Side dumping dirt along the Missouri River in the tri state area day and night. Doc

Hey Aaron. That’s quite the gadget there. Can sure see where it would help with the cattle wrestling in the back. We run mostly fifth wheels around here but I can see the value if a guy was dragging a lot of bumper pulls!!

Nice review to you should have got the 16,000 with what you pull but you'll be just fine with the 12,000 but keep up the good work. Also those airbags are off Simi's should hold up real well but you are right about the hook part rubbing, they do advise you put some water hose/ coving over your chains, just so it doesn't eat into the Shocker hitch but I think they will last a long time before any problems and they do sell refurbished ones on ebay for a little cheaper if someone didn't have a ton of money. Also I can't wait for a a$$ rider to eat the receiver, they are made like a anvil. Also one more thing those hairpins, they out now with a little extra tag on the back so they pull out easy and you don't have to pull as hard. If anyone need more info on the hairpins I switched out let me know. They work too well for anything you use a hairpin on, on the Shocker hitch they work well for switch ball sizes and they should just come standard but they are the way to go!

I don't feel that driving a dodge. Lol. (That one's for BP). I'm sure it works great. Stock trailer is the only thing I have that's a bumper pull. Everything else is a goose neck or fifth wheel.

I'm sure that I could look this up, but I have you right here so, I'll ask you. Do these shocker hitches come with a higher weight capacity? You said this one was rated at 12K lbs. I'm sure that it works nice, but it kind of limits the capacity of the truck, doesn't it? Just wondering. It's nice to see SPRING finally in the background!! Better late than never!!

I've had those little chain hooks straightened right out and do nothing when they were needed they are next to worthless for actual safty chains
@PrairieSunsetRanch2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. I luckily have never had to experience what you are talking about but yes I’d imagine not much use for moderate to heavy applications. Probably only time those chain would hold 🆙 is with something like an aluminum Atv trailer with and atv or snowmobile on it? Even at that i dunno 🤷♂️ 😬 Cheers 🍻 my friend.

@@PrairieSunsetRanch for me it was a comical moment at a boat ramp. Still can't explain how it came off the ball fortunately the boat was well strapped to the trailer and noone was there. When it self launch boat and trailer strapped together. A fisherman saved me from making the swim to get a line on it and retrieve it. Never will I ever use those lightweight S hooks on a trailer of any real weight

Ha ha. You need air bags on a f350. Good joke. I pull a 13k pintle with my 97 f350 and put around 1500 to 2000 tongue wieght and dont squat mine. I have an adjustable multi hitch and all the adjustment pin holes are egged out
@PrairieSunsetRanch2 жыл бұрын
Certainly don't need bags on a F350 but it sure makes the ride quality a lot better while towing.
