I had a wonderful dog walker /nanny for my pups for years. When I worked 13 hours, I knew they were let out. When I ended up in the hospital, she boarded my dog with her own at her home. So I didn’t stress that she was being cared for. And she made sure the cat had daily attention as well.

And when my terminally ill brother moved in with me and I was working, she came over to help care for him if he needed something urgently. Way beyond a pet sitter. And when she had to be euthanized for brain cancer, she came over to be there with both her and I.

I love this episode! So many people can’t understand how someone can love Guinea pigs so much, but they’re absolutely full of personality and love. We have two girls, one is 4, and one is 3. We had another, Daisy, who passed away after finding out she had cancer. It was so hard, for all of us. Losing her was a nightmare. I’m still checking both girls weekly for any lumps, and she passed away over a year ago. I’m so thankful it was nothing, and Maple is home, and healthy for Christmas! ❤️

Guinea pigs are truly special creatures. My skinny pig passed away earlier this year and she had my whole heart in pieces for months on end. Never have I met such a unique animal that has had such an impact on me. Just the goofiest little thing and I still miss her dearly. People that understand just how wonderful guinea pigs and other rodents are will always have my respect.

Wish there was a vet where I al. Our vet is retiring next March and he hasn't found anyone who wants to purchase the practice. It is 2 hours in each direction to another vet (and the one south is not very good). It is a busy practice...so anyone interested? You gotta love nature because that's about all to-do here.

Sadly, any animal can get caught in a fence. And most of the time, it’s because they try to jump over the fence. In the US, we get many deer, moose, and other animals stuck attempting to jump fences. Even falcons and owls get stuck from crashing into them.

Great news for Ruby and her owner. I watched the surgery and was concerned why the nurse (Birthday boy) wasn't scrubbed in and gowned. He had his hands right there. Not sterile and shouldnt have been there due to it.
