What gets me is that this was at a major shipping port. All major ports are required to have fireboats to combat fires on container ships while in port. Why were the fireboats never deployed for assistance?

I'm actually amazed at the conditions these people have to live in especially after this disaster. Imagine all those helicopter loads of water were right out of the unbelievably polluted Manila Bay.
