“We got race bikes, we don’t have computers that race” that sir is a awesome quote!

I'm with B on the no computer deal, my old school GS is like that without Nitrous ..... right now. Head porting has been replaced by key punching, we had a Flow Bench back in the day but no Dyno. It was port, flow, race....... remove ,port, flow, refine, reflow , re-install, race. You can always tell who was porting heads, they are hard of hearing. You lose more hearing on the Flow Bench than you do racing because the exhaust is behind you and you have a helmet on. Was that my phone ringing ? I do have a GSX-R1000 to play computer games on .... just kidding, love that bike too.

Hand clutch launch, foot shift classes. One for carbs, One for fuel injection. If combined, all fuel injection tuning must be done at track (not with some computer wiz a thousand miles away tuning a 100 bikes a night on wi fi.

I think it’s evolving I personally love the old bikes but the new ones are tuned to the moon lol

Man I get what Hollywood is saying about efi, but the fact is that the number does not change. 4.60 is going to stay 4.60, the game is played by how you get there. No computer is going to be able to run the number dead on every time.

when you add in throttle stops that kill time in makes it harder and harder to compete

Been knowing Hollywood since the days of the ‘68 in the street. He is right in every aspect, even Tim McAims has said the same thing in the car world. Get rid of some of the electronics and sensors. What happens is the class will eventually become unattainable for the normal weekend racer.

What’s the average price of motor built where you are I love ole school

Racing is evolving so does dragster.I don't think from the bike and trailer I see that is a money issue going with electronics. You love your era and keep supporting that always but because some teams added a programmer and electronics to the game doesn't mean anything bad.Lot of respect to all riders builders and tuners around our sport we are enemies only in front of the tree and until the finish line.

I understand what old school is saying and I use to agree but times have changed!!! It’s not possible to stay the same for ever... hell I rebuilt a SBC and got out ran by a new little v6 mustang now I’m in the middle of installing a genV LT motor in the same car just saying better keep up or get left

They need to put the person back into the racing game and get rid of the electronics but not just in drag bikes, also in the car scene as well, especially full body cars, like Pro modified and pro nitrous or any other related. get these machines leaving on a clutch and have actual transmissions in them thedriver shifts, while driving the machines and that would be much different, compared to today

Can we at least keep 2 step and airshift

Hollywood is right.... This keeps up it won't be long before a driverless truck drops your bike at the track and you race it from your livingroom.
