I remember visiting a police station in Kolkata with two of my friends to file a GD against a guy who was following us on the streets during Diwali & was so brazen that he actually followed us into the restaurant, we decided to go into because we got so scared. Anyway, the police as usual did not want to file an FIR & started by saying, “ Following is not a criminal offence. He must have seen three beautiful girls and wanted to convince one.” Don’t ask me convince for what, cause I have no answer. But anyway, while we were reporting the guy, we saw a middle aged man sitting in the room who was brought in for drinking & driving. This man made a phone call to his friend & handed the phone to the Sub Inspector. The Sub Inspector said these exact words, “Yes sir, everything is under control. We thought he looked a little intoxicated. But don’t worry, he’s a doctor, we know he hasn’t done anything wrong. His reports will not be sent anywhere. We will just do an informal medical examination. Don’t worry, his family will not get to know about this at all”. And within the next 30 mins, the man’s lawyer came in & he was let off. This is the state of affairs in this country. It is abysmal.

I am from dehradun, these road accidents are occuring almost everyday. The traffic is really bad, people just want to cut queue short. But I see no measures taken seriously, months back 5 students were also met with an accident near mussoorie. Even there was an accident today in the evening. The highway of dehradun is not even a highway but due to all these heavy vehicles and no regulations on their speed is the problem, and there are potholes and unstructured roads everywhere. It's very hard to go out without worrying. Idk when it will change.

I drive regularly for my gym. Its a 20km both ways. Everyday, I see numerous people, running red lights(especially 2 wheelers), overtaking from wrong side, honking unnecessarily, no patience at all, using high beam in city(that too modified lights). And everyday, I think of when will these conditions improve in this country.

One more accident on 30th oct in Ramban district in Kashmir…. Where among 6 students travelling in the car, 2 of them died. My two sisters were travelling in same car and one of them died and another got injured.. I'm in just two minutes, and even before I am introduced to the channel owners opinion, I'd like to say, "good riddance to bad rubbish". And considering how the Pune Porsche case is being handled by the authorities, I will say that in these 2 cases, justice was delivered even before the law was broken. I remember having read about something called preventive detention. These 2 cases were of preventive justice. Beautiful. No collateral injuries, justice in its purest form.. Also, given their ages, I am sire the parents will not be able to replace them. Also, i dont agree that one should never talk ill of the dead.

Honestly, we need to make people fear the consequences of bad driving before they even start their vehicles. Here's what I think should happen: Lane Discipline: Fines should be heavy for people who don’t stick to their lane. It’s not hard to follow, but people ignore it! Traffic Signals: We need to make yellow a stop signal, just like in Dubai. No more speeding through when it’s about to turn red. Right of Way: People NEED to learn how to yield to those who have the right of way. This could reduce so many accidents if enforced properly. Speed Limits: Let’s get serious about speeding. If someone goes over the limit by more than 10%, they should face double the fines-no excuses. On top of this, we should introduce a points-based system: Every violation adds points to your driving record. More points = higher fines for future violations. If you keep repeating the same mistakes, the penalty should increase exponentially. Also, yellow board vehicles (commercial ones) should face stricter penalties. They’re on the road more and can cause more damage, so they should be held to a higher standard. Now here’s where it gets interesting: tie traffic violations to car insurance. If you have too many traffic fines, your insurance premiums should increase, or even better, insurance companies should deny coverage to high-risk drivers. Insurance companies win because safer roads mean fewer claims for them, and bad drivers will either improve or pay the price-literally. If we involve insurance companies as stakeholders, they can push for these changes. Safer roads, fewer accidents, and everyone benefits. It’s time we took driving seriously!

I am from dehradun, there is almost zero cctv footage of nearby this accident. This is the condition of the capital of a state of our country. The only change I see after this accident is the increase in drink and drive challan. But reality is there is no law and order in our city. This Drinking Ban, Party Ban, Beef Ban and all of those bullshit that these age old previous generation politicians do in the name of fucking age old Indian Culture with no signs of evolve will only push more and more young people out of India. Goa lost its charm, maybe because of one of these reasons. Instead of no drinking, we have to find ways to promote responsible drinking in a sofisticated way, promote self value, promote following of traffice rules etc. That is the way we evolve and not by outraging over drinking. I completely support Akash on this issue. I myself dring but never drink and drive. I am hindu by birth but eat beef and pork and have no issue doing that I value my life. One more point where I don't agree with Akash. He said that parents shouldn't allow their childern to drive if the car is registered on their name. That's impractical in my view. Let parents allow their childern drive only if they are above 18 and have a valid licence.

In other countries even after drinking they know how to behave and control their attitude but here it’s opposite. And lot of other factors you mentioned.
