Tyrese has deep rooted childhood issues. He's a very insecure person. Grew up feeling not good enough because of colorism and not feeling at all handsome. Deep down, subconsciously he doesn't believe he is good enough for successful relationships, being adored by women, marriage, love etc. So he sabotages his relationships.
