My mother's generation (50s-60s) and being from Colombia was that for some wives they turned a blind eye to the infidelity of their husbands, as long as the husband took care of his home responsibilities (paid the bills), and be discrete with their affairs, which included no diseases. I was 15 when my dad told me he had acquired syphilis, thank God it was taken care of. But to this day, I have no idea why he burdened me with that information. Parents, sometimes, can put their kids through so much hell! Then they wonder why the kids end up dead, on drugs, or incarcerated! But from my experience of living with such dysfunctionality and watching and hearing other wives in same situation, I came to realize that wives who put up with that are women that don't really love their husbands, thus, they do not care what he does with other women; it is as simple as that.They only married these man for other reasons not for love. My mom had no problem telling us that the only reason she married my dad was because she wanted a beautiful-looking child. My dad was a looker, that's for sure! So much so, that as an extra on a bus scene in a movie where all he had to do is get off the bus, a movie producer who watched the movie sought him out just because of his looks!

As human beings, we have flaws. I will forever be grateful for Mr. Cosby's consciousness to create sitcoms that put "black families" in a positive light. Most sitcoms showed us as being uneducated, ignorant, loud, and poor. Mr. Cosby gave 20million to black colleges and universities! Sadly both of them are very unwise. You would think you’re supposed to grow in wisdom as well as stature (age) but a lot of people don’t. You would think that the loss of two of his children would cause him to rethink his adulterous and scandalous ways but the old man loved his sins. And his wife is no better, really, saying he can look but not touch. Looking is adultery (Matt. 5:28), but when you speak of these things, many don’t seem to care. Rethink your ways bill and Camille and give your lives to Jesus Christ.
@snich85513 жыл бұрын
The Bible says wisdom is from God. It's something you have to pray and asks for. This idea of becoming wise with age is worldly and untrue. The Bible also says that you will be transformed by the renewing of your mind, and in all your getting, to get understanding. Clearly he was more interested in getting money and the pleasures of this life.

She was definitely otherwise fulfilled. For lots of mothers, being a mom is enough... Being able to give your whole self to your children. We often realize that there's no man... No matter how good-looking, rich, famous, or otherwise.. that can really fulfill us. We always have to settle in one way or another. I can imagine that settling is alot easier when money is no object in life. So even if she did have a side-piece/pieces, she'd have to endure their shortcomings as well.
