This was very interesting. Dark, slightly disturbing but very interesting. I never watch traditional TV here in the states. If I am watching something, it's usually KZbin, or Occasionally Netflix but my point is this. I have a very eclectic vibe when it comes to entertainment or content. Almost never fiction because just like this piece you have produced here, real life is so much more interesting. I can't say I am okay with people eating dogs but I am open minded and I realize that this world doesn't revolve around me. Moments and experiences in my life have shaped who I am and what I do, just like the person featured in this video. Even though I will not be eating dog, I appreciate this man for allowing us to see what some fellow Sapiens do in his part of the world. There really is no difference between a dog or a cow or a chicken except for what we humans attach to each animal. It is all meat but because I favor dogs as companions and even value them as protectors of my family, when I look at a dog I see a friend where others might see food. My youngest brother is a butcher here for a large grocery store. I love my little brother but sometimes I must stop myself from thinking too deeply about what he is paid to do😳🤢 if I had to kill my own food, I'd be strictly vegetarian. He doesn't actually kill anything, he just cuts it into pieces😒 Lucky for me, I don't have to kill my own food but I still eat very little meat. We live in Los Angeles. Unfortunately I am more likely to find my neighbors trying to take each other out, rather than their dinner. The creator of this video and the man he has featured here are very brave to share this with everyone. The courage to share, in depth is admirable. When I started to watch the video, I wasn't sure I would be able to finish watching the entire piece but it was done tastefully 🤦‍♀️ and respectfully and I look forward to watching more of your work. The actual problem here is that the dog meat trade treats its dogs with utter discontempt and neglect. I wouldn't mind it so much if they were kept fed and relatively happy up until the point of death, but they clearly aren't. We have a duty to respect life, whether we eat it or not.

Most people would not touch dog meat because dogs are valued as household loving pets. I had no issues eating alligator meat. I had no issues eating bison meat, or Deer meat,. Or lam meat,. Snake fish is delicious. But I ate shark meat once and spit it out nasty taste. Egiptians love camel meat.

Very few people eat dog meat in China nowadays. It was mostly eaten in the past 150 years when China became poor and weakened by foreign invasions and wars. Most people nowadays eat normal domesticated farmed animals such as pigs, chicken, ducks , fish, beef and some mutton. Just look at YT walkabouts in China. Many in China now keep dogs as pets. There are however many other communities around the world that eat dogs - Indonesia, Ghana, India, Korea, Vietnam etc. Before you condemm communities who eat dogs, there are many dogs in Western countries also are abandoned or used for racing/hunting/pet breeding farms and are put to sleep because nobody wants them too.

Basenji dogs have an interesting history. They are an ancient African breed that used to hunt in packs. They do not bark like regular dogs. They make a yodelling sound. They are good hunting dogs and make protective family dogs. I am assuming that they are intelligent which makes me wish that the dogs had a better life in Nigeria. 🐈🐈 Sad....

In England I am a Close protection Dog Handler I’ve been to Nigeria many times to the point that I now own property and a farm in Nigeria. I don’t have any problems with the cultural practices I have also enjoyed many of the local dishes when in Nigeria I often prefer to eat the local dishes. I have not tried Dog up to now but I would never condemn any person that does as they have the right to eat it or not.
