That stone beer is very typical of what we see in the uk. Lots of different breweries for ginger beer and very collectable if you like them. One even showed up in an old episode of Dr Who (Tom Baker) and i have that actual bottle type in my collection 🙂

I don't see how you're alone, bottle digging is great itself but river walking and bottle picking is almost an unforgettable experience every time you go, if i were your friend you wouldn't be alone because i'd be right beside you loving every minute of it..I can picture saloons along the banks, in fact that's the america i want to live in, History is fun.

I've learned a few diff things already from your vids, awesome content man, keep up the good work! I deff subscribed 😊

Brandon, you must have already metal detected saloon row, especially where the old wooden sidewalks used to be. My great-grandpappy told me he lost a few coins over there one day because he had a hole in his pocket. But you can have them if you find them. I got plenty of my own coins.

What a great find Brandon . A stone Ginger Beer . One of the first I ever found was exactly the same Shape , different top and internal screw with transfer print on . Think mines stamped 1929 . It's amazing how long that shape of bottle has been going . Like you say from Early 1800's . Got be over 100 years . But then I found d mine in UK/GB where I live . . The two colour claze is great looking and the rough base is so tactile. Fills the hand great . Yeah stamping would have been great .

Some round-about $ values so we none-experts can truly appreciate your finds and efforts you put in. Yes I know it is not just for the money....for me it would be and for many it is! I think h is nothing better than enjoying a great hobby and making some money doing it! "Break a bottle"...or whatever it is you say to wish each other luck.. :)

Couldn't those old whiskey jug handles be put up on something & made useful? Like a rustic piece of board & hang it after you put artificial flowers through the handle to make a bouquet to hang on a wall, etc??? I really liked the idea of making the old bottles with the bottoms gone turned into lamps! Great idea, guys! The old mason jar lids could be used in old pieces of wood like little shelves to display things on if you cut a slot in the old wood to slip the lid into? People like me, we like old jadeite anything. Your wife might want to look into making matching pieces such as necklaces, bracelets, etc to match the earrings that she is making. You two seem to really work as a team & 'that' is what makes a great business, partnership & marriage. You look out for her interests while you are out looking for old bottles, you pick up pieces for her earrings. THAT is teamwork!

As a child, in the sixties, went digging with my parents and a couple that dug for old bottles as a business. One of the places was at the southern most point of the US in Key West at the red and white marker. The only insurance company that would insure their collection was Lloyds of London. Still have a tiny white ceramic or glass cup and creamer from a childs tea cup set that I found there.
