Yes Katherine is correct 2d was 2 pennies... there 12 pennies in a shilling. That became a 5p a 6d was a small sixpence . Which became a 2 ½p. Till they got phased out. And of course there was a two shilling piece . 24 pennies. Which was then turned into a 10p. When we went decimal. There were others like a florin. A threepenny bit. Threpney. And a half penny piece..... All A long time ago. February 1971.....

Really enjoyed your tour of the Life Museum. Hard to believe that anything is free to get into nowadays. I hope that Steve and Zak get better soon and glad to see that Boo has been well. If Zak can answer these two questions tell him that I'll buy him 2 coffees. 1. What was the name of the old tank in the museum? 2. Why did the soldiers of old have spiked helmets? Zak did make me chuckle when he suggested a throat amputation 😂😂 2d for a packet of 5 woodbine, wow, how times have changed, i was 12 when the decimal currency was introduced, us kids always reverted to the old £. S. d (pounds, shillings and pennies) as it was known before decimalisation. Shame we missed you by a day, great vlog as normal. We went on to Anderby creek after and stayed at the Shambles. Its a great Museum and the staff are amazing. Great cafe in the corner as well had a blade of beef butty and it is yummy. Cant fault £9.50 for 24hrs

😊What an interesting museum. The machinery is so cool! No crazy health n safety back then and they were built to last! It's amazing how they were made. What a fantastic collection of old stuff. The ceramic water bottle for warming the bed, the old stove, printing press...just so many interesting objects! Love the stained glass window, such beautiful colors. Wow that's a lot of windmills! Oh my gosh those poor women teachers! It's always mind blowing how women were thought of and treated back in history! Us poor, fragile, easily misled species 😅😊. Zak your knowledge is awesome!! Do you play games like COD? I know our boys learnt quite a bit from different games..ie the strategy games, war games etc 😊 Another great video. Looking forward to the castle😊 Rest up

I have used a metal rubber roller wringer many a time and wondered about looking out for an old mangle to see if there is a difference to end result ! Thought a mangle had two bottom rollers and one top . Wikipedia and online very and contradict . From an engineering and old terminology perspective I find it interesting. Kirkenhof gardens, to see the tulips on Holland is a must visit. There is a parade too outside the gardens, so I would suggest that you research on the internet the actual dates of everything. I believe you can purchase entry tickets on line which will save queueing. Safe travels and keep your vlogs coming.
