It’s an utter scandal that service stations are allowed to charge/fine for parking. You’re told if you’re tired to pull off the motorway into a service station and get a couple of hours Kip and the reason for this is obvious. You could potentially save lives. Lorries should be allowed to park up at services for free, safe in the knowledge they are parked somewhere safe without fear of being robbed or high jacked. Why the government allow them to rob the general public is completely beyond me. Makes my blood boil
@marks-0-011 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if the law has changed but it used to be the case that PCN'S were not considered fines legally but rather invitations to pay. You could just ignore the letters but of course people don't want to hear your point because they are usually too straight and scared to test such things.
@steve264411 ай бұрын
Yes it’s disgusting , it’s not actually the land owners that instigate it , it’s private parking companies approaching such places and offering them incentives to do it! Literally any private bit of parking have been hunted out by these guys now a days!
@matthewedmondson271311 ай бұрын
Unfortunately that used to be correct, not any more. You could however mask your number plate with tape / crisp packet whatever and it wont register the exit, so no fine @@marks-0-0

It's not stealth if you pay £38, it makes you a victim. you can stay in a Travelodge for£40 with free parking and breakfast
@sbjchef11 ай бұрын
stealth means stopping somewhere maybe you shouldn't and getting away with it, in your case plod showing up and telling you to move on would be a minimum level of risk, otherwise you are just a man in a van

Maybe not if you turn up at a campsite 1800 you have to leave by 1100 whilst you get until 1800 plus the three hours at services. So it’s not quite the same.

Hey Will, I’m so glad that you have done an original stealth video again, I prefer these videos to your reviews of other vans, it’s more authentic when you’re on your own doing your own filming, I also love it when you do your own cooking. If you’re looking for other things to do, why not park up where you get beautiful views and cook up a storm or even get a fire going and cook up a massive steak. Great video though pal.

Hey Will......hope you had a great holiday break. Missed you terribly. Word to the wise....when going to a new place like the car park......eat what you KNOW.....not what you don't. There is nothing worse than going to a new place....hungry and tired and then not getting something good to eat. That chicken did look sort of icky. Also another word......when you don't know what to watch on your tv......just watch I love Lucy or Andy Griffith show.....that is if you guys have it there! Your van is looking nice and cozy. What a coZy job you have.......though I do know how much work it takes just to get these videos out there.......and we ALL appreciate your hard work. Have a good week coming up!

Wills have you ever thought about purchasing a Bater. For the back of your van for behind the passenger seat and the driver's seat you could do with getting a curtain rail and you need to purchase some very romantic red poppy curtains and all of the fixings you could make your van look more like a HGV with your curtains put up right around your seats that wil stop any one from looking in from your windscreen

We have bad food at many service stations. I think they let it sit under a warm lamp for a few hours before serving. I've only ever filled up with fuel for my motorbike at these places, as I had a smaller tank and the price difference wasn't so alarming. I'm amazed they keep them open.

Motorway services have free showers for everyone as a requirement primarily for truck drivers. Normally the shower key is held at one of the shops and you leave your car keys as a deposit. Happy to be proved otherwise

The service stations in GB are a nightmare. We go every week with our trucks to GB and we pay a lot of money to sleep on this nightmare. The showers are dirty, the toilets are dirty and every second month somebody steal about 700-1.000l of diesel and the police even don’t want to come to the station. Really nice system 🤮

I got a fine from the services on the M11 by stanstead for having a sleep in my car for 3 hours when I was really tired and shouldn’t have been driving. I got the fine chalked off by arguing with them that there is signage all over the country telling us we should take a break and not drive while tired so we shouldn’t be punished for staying safe and taking that advice.
