He never spent the night, didn't come over the house for that matter. If he did come around the kid's he would bring his son as well. Kinda kept it to the park. Single mothers need to be more vigilant in protecting their children. The safest thing is to keep them separate from your children. And if they’re volunteering to clean up or bathe your children then take that as a red flag. Most men don’t even want to change dirty diapers of their own children let alone someone else’s. Be hyper aware if they’re trying to spend time alone with your child.

@Five0Five
@Five0Five 7 ай бұрын
When our daughter was young my husband always said not to allow her friends over if I wasn't home. We never had sleepovers. Never left any doors open for allegations. Even now we have guardianship over our disabled niece and he won't even go in her room if I'm changing her or giving her a bath. Men don't volunteer to change kids or give them baths unless they want to invade their personal space. That is a huge red flag! I think too many women leave their kids with predators and trust these monsters with their babies. At least they could stop calling their children precious or saying they love them more than anything if they continue to make terrible decisions with those kids.
@QuinnieMae
@QuinnieMae 7 ай бұрын
@felinefina8004 I could not agree more! The children of single mothers who bring other partners into the children's home are _TWENTY TIMES_ more likely to be abused. There is no "one way" to protect children but there are a _million_ of them and _one of those many ways_ if you're a parent is to simply NOT bring your date home. Ever. Keep your love life away from your kids. For god SAKES don't force your children to share their HOME with a strange man or woman. It's unbelievably simple! Wait until they're 18 and able to make their own choices... go have all the fun in the world, the sky is the limit, just don't force it on your children. Does that mean they will never be sexually abused? Of course not. It just means that you're not inviting the fox into the henhouse to have carte blanche access to your helpless children. It's unbelievable to me that so many women put their desire for sex/physical touch ahead of their children. Great post, feline!
@felinefina8004
@felinefina8004 7 ай бұрын
@@evephelpsmarketing I am aware that abuse can happen in two parent homes and places other than under a single mother’s nose. I stand by my point and will even add to it that ALL parents need to be vigilant with their kids and who they allow around them. And I will also add to be careful of the pics of your children that get posted online. There are predators that specifically look for these types of pics and accounts and it’s for ALL the wrong reasons. Why even put your kid out there like that when it’s possible perverts are looking at them in disgusting ways?? I agree we need to tell children it’s okay to speak up if something untoward happens to them. But specifically single parents need to keep their love lives away from children. Spend time with your lover during the times your kids are somewhere else. And I also am aware women can be sex offenders too so my point extends to single parents not just moms. I stand by my original point.

I'm not saying that only unemployed men are abusers but my lord. Zero standards. And that's the dude mom forced her daughter to share space with. Her home with. Her sanctuary. I look at the pictures of Maddie and with the exception of like _one photo,_ Maddie's eyes, her skin, her expression tell a terrible story. It's just UNCONSCIONABLE. I think of how a child's home is the _one place_ where (with at least decent parents) children are safe and protected. Not all men are like this. Unfortunately lots are. It’s the age we live in. The last 20 plus years society has been focusing on girls ruling, with the backlash being no where for men to get a great example. That’s why you spend lots of time getting to know people. Take your time. People can be anything for 6 to 12 months. After that you start to see cracks. Good men do exist. I hope one comes your way. Life isn’t supposed to be lived alone. But we are also not supposed to be hurt by those we love. Dating is very hard.

@@rosalindr4975 I was a single mom for years. I never let my bfs spend the night, much less alone with my child. Why? Because thats f***ing WIERD. I used my girlfriends when I needed a babysitter and wanted to go out for "me" time- and even that didnt happen often. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have even gone down that road. When we choose to lay down and become parents, our wants and needs must come secondary to the child who never had any choice in being here under those circumstances at all. Another thing Ive learned is how much consuming porn is a red-flag behavior, and its been far too normalized. If your partner is a porn watcher, especially if they excuse it or act like its no big deal even after youre in a committed relationship, you need to run-- and fast. These are doors opened by the devil himself. Our acceptance of it is a sign of how sick our society has become.

@@Justme_1221 Except that child abuse/death statistics tell us that the two most dangerous environments for a child is 1) "blended families" and 2) single-mother households. I'm not sure at what point "mom's boyfriend", live-in or no, is considered to be a "blended family" - or a grey area in-between - but regardless, we're ticking both boxes here. We also know that the overwhelming majority of sex offenders and murderers are male. So yes, we can trawl for the outliers, or we can be realistic: single-mothers are letting too many predators get to their kids.

Listening to this, I wonder if he was too insecure to date girls his own age. The incident trying to film a “friend’s” mother when he was 17 and then dating a 14 year old when he was 20 caused me arrive at that question.

Wow......Stephan's response on a post where a mother said 'AITA (am I the asshole) for thinking my husband is sexualizing our daughter?' is extremely disturbing, and revealing. This should give some insight into how he treated and manipulated Maddie's mother. How heartbreaking for them both (Maddie and mom). came back to edit; just wow again! The post he made about dating women who have been in the sun too long and look like Clint Eastwood is so repulsive, what a horrible, disgusting 'man' he is.

You don’t have to stay single with children, but do background checks, keep your children first, talk to them, always know where hey are and what they are doing. Believe what they tell you! My dad use to do background checks on guys I dated. I always thought my parents were so strict. I hated it! Even though they divorced when I was five, they were both very much in my life. They could have saved my life. Be parents people!! Be parents!

Holy moly! The more we learn about this guy, the weirder it is. Sounds like he’s been messed up from the beginning. There is no way Madeline was his only victim. I’m assuming he hasn’t kiIIed before, but I could just about guarantee he’s got a long list of victims. We now know of at least 2 women he’s spied on ~10yrs apart. I highly doubt he stopped in the meantime between them with who knows how many others. And working at Disney was likely a way for him to be around children all the time. I wonder what kind of occupations he had besides that over his life and how many single mothers with children he had been in relationships with before. I feel like we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg so far.

Nice interview... I would like to hear your feelings about the conflicting statements of Madeline moms Jen ? Jen first states the last time she spoke to her daughter was Sunday night before going to bed then she states she saw Maddy getting ready for school around 8am and yet LE believes that Maddy was already deceased by then. That also would mean that Jen was in the home at time of her death. How could the mom not know anything if that's the case?

I'll just mention, that if a truck had actually rolled over Stephan like Debra claims,(twice) he would've not gone home with her from the ER that night. In the Hidden True Crime interview the Sterns did; she was saying that the truck rolled over his pelvis and torso and then rolled back over him again - he would've had massive internal injuries and would've needed emergency surgery. But Debra states that she declined the hospital's recommendation he be kept for "observation" because hospitals have germs. If you guys want to hear something really bizarre, listen to the audio of the detective's interview with the Sterns just a few days after Maddie's body was found. They are talking about their romance, Debra spits venom about Jen Soto - claiming Jen was a bad influence on Stephan. Debra actually tries sharing Trump meme with the detective and they laugh and talk to him like he's their new friend. It's crazy. Then for Debra to cry about Maddie all these months later is just a bunch of BS!
