I remember when I was living outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, back in the late 1980s, I used to take my late son to the Vancouver Aquarium and they had a tank of 2 or 3 Electric Eels, and they had a voltmeter hooked up to the tank with a buzzer for the eels shot off their electricity. Maybe you could the same except hook up a light instead of the buzzer. Stay Fishy, my friends.

The National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD has/ had the same display. A voltmeter hooked up to a visual light display so you could see what the eel was doing. It's been years since I was there so I can't say for sure that it is still there. I've been desperate to get back but the Inner Harbor is now a vague shadow of its former self and the crime rate in Baltimore is terrifying.

For the eel, I like the name Catatumbo. It's a type of lightning that happens mostly in Venezuela, and it's beautiful. If you like the names of thunder/lightning/storm Gods, here are some that I think are cool: Set - Egyptian Jupiter - Roman Poseidon - Greek Taranis - Celtic Thor - Norse Raijin - Japanese Indra - Buddhism Chaac or Yopaat - Mayan Shango - Nigeria Haikili - Polynesian Perun - Slavic Leigong - Chinese

Here's a couple of lesser known lightning gods and goddesses - Cakhula - Aztec god Chac - Mayan god Leizi -Chinese goddess Fulgora - Roman goddess Haoka - Lakota god Oba - West African god Shango - Nigeria god Also the indigenous people of Surinam call these Maisi ( Maisie ). My favorites here are Shango, Fulgora (sounds like a supervillain) and Chac. Maisie would be inappropriately cute tho! Also the actress that played badass Arya in Game of Thrones is called Maisie in real life so there's something.
