I so appreciate watching your videos. I just wish the commentors were more respectful. My Dad was one of the brave young soldiers who fought in normandy. He suffered from his horrific wounds until he passed at age 94. I am profoundly shocked and disgusted by the petty remarks on the conditions of the photos. They are 80 years old and have probably come from generations of families who were generous enough to share their historical memories of love. Think about what your mouthes are dumping.

The Poles were betrayed at every step by both sides but fought like tigers regardless. First betrayal by Germany, then by the USSR with the Katyn massacre. Then by the USSR again during the Warsaw August uprising. Finally by the West when so many were forcibly repatriated into the hands of the USSR once again.

Funny too during the Vietnam war era he got a draft notice, went before the draft board and told them to shove the draft notice up their @$$, that he had already served his time. He got some weird draft classification he had never heard of and never heard from them again, "internment" and confication was just one more way the Government lost their friggin mind and violated the citizens constitutional rights !!! The photo of the Chinese soldier guarding the aircraft is a P-51 Mustang C model. Not all planes with the tiger mouth painted on the nose were P-40s and the introduction of the P-51 was a greatly appreciated move by the American Army to what was the Chinese army when the Flying Tiger aircraft group was originally formed by Claire Chenault who went on to be in charge of the American military in the Vietnam era.

Image 46 - A prisoner of war camp was not a concentration camp in Germany either. You can also tell from the improvised fence that this is not a concentration camp. Picture 34 - is a re-enacted scene, because this conquest of Iwo Jima was staged for the press with this re-enacted scene. Image 22 - This stupid narrative that every German was a Nazi can't seem to be put down. This family committed suicide because they knew that the advancing Russians had treated the German civilian population cruelly. Women in particular suffered from the attacks of the Red Army. Picture 4 - the mouse was never used because there were only a few prototypes that were not usable. The Sturmtiger, on the other hand, was still used.

God made all people from one man, Adam. All people are brothers. Unfortunately, the lying and corrupt clergy is silent about this. They even bless Racism and Nazism in the name of God. The problem is that the Devil rules the world. He is a liar and a murderer. This is why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why people cry over stray cats and hate their brothers. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. That's why we have the Gospel about the Kingdom of God. Jehovah will put everything in order. He has anointed the king, Jesus Christ. The dead will rise and we will meet our loved ones again! :-)

To my knowledge, the photo with the suicidal family and the soviet officers was taken in april 1945 in Vienna, by Jewgeny Chaldai - the same photographer who shot the famous pic of the soviet soldiers raising a red flag on the Reichstag, or the portrait pic of Hermann Goering, near the end of the Nuremberg trials. He also shot the equaly famous picture of Gen.Shukow, riding a white horse at the moscow victory parade. The family in the picture show a nazi official servant who killed his son, daughter and wife, then shot himself. They were discovered in the "Rathauspark" - (city hall park) at the famous vienese "Ringstrasse" and near the "Burgtheater". This case even shocked the battle hardened soviet general and officers. Atrocities and rapings involving soviet soldiers occured mostly not with the fighting troops of the 1st wave, but the soldiers from the train and the occupying troops... Chaldai was with the soviet troops advancing from the south, encircling Vienna from the southwest. The Operation started from 16th of march. The battle for Vienna lasted from 6th until 16th of april 1945. Chaldai went into Vienna from the south, accompanying the troops through 12th, 10th, 4th, 1st, 9th districts, shooting many well known pictures. He stayed in Vienna for a while taking some equaly well known photos of funerals for higher ranking officers, who died in the battle for the city. The funerals took place in parks and gardens in the center of Vienna, like "Burggarten" and "Volksgarten" close to the famous "Hofburg" of the Habsburgs.

Where are all the photos of all the war crimes committed by the Allies? During the landing in Normandy alone, the Allies executed 8,500 German soldiers who surrendered. Or the mass rapes of German women. Not to mention the Rhine meadow camps where they gathered German soldiers, where they killed over a million German soldiers. They either let them starve or shot them. There were an incredible number of war crimes ☝🏻 the whole thing is pretty one-sided here. But the Allies are holy and true heroes.

Do you know anything about World War II The history the many years the journey the many intricate details I have learned quite a bit of over the six decades of my life but I have the humility of knowing I need to learn so much more on many topics in life especially word facts the lives the hopes and dreams of people all around us I learn them anything and everything in history I take an interest of what came before in order if I’m ever in a position where somebody is discussing this at least I have an educated view not a biased one nor one of my own thought and choice and my father shared with me when I was a young girl in my early 20s so probably 1984 my dad opened his heart and shared of his time in World War II and he was part of June 6, 1944 he was a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne walk a mile in all their shoes and then say about that remark again you have the comfort it is so easy to judge from a far

What's with the special effects? All the lint and hair superimposed over still photographs doesn't fool anybody. It's just distracting.

The visual "manipulation" of the photos take away from your presentation, as does the addition of non-pertinent visual interference with the floating dust particles AND movement, zoom and other unimpressive manipulation of the photograph. Will not be watched in the future. Ironic name of History in Focus when you don't do that at all.
